My partner and I went to this restaurant 3 days ago since the ones in the main streets of Valença were full and it was getting late. We saw that the place had a score of 4.6 on Google Reviews and we reached out.The terrace had the tables and chairs in a rather questionable state. The interior gave an image of a neglected and dirty place. The bathroom (worthy of appearing in a Saw movie) was for common use in a commercial gallery in a decaying state that I understand saw better days. Seen all this, I thought that having that score the food would at least be good. Unfortunately for us we were wrong.We wanted to order the baked cod so typical of Portugal but they didn't have any left. Things that can happen. They offered us other dishes and we each ordered a mixed plate of knuckles that I understood had rice and French fries on the side.Time was passing and there was no movement. Some customers from other tables left as they were not served and they saw that other customers who had arrived later were served before them. In addition, some tables were receiving the food before us, which we had ordered quite a bit before. "The knuckle will take longer to make," I thought.About 40-45 minutes after we ordered it, the waiter told us that there had been a mistake and that there was no knuckle left. He apologized to us and, seeing the time, we decided that we would order another dish there anyway, since surely they would no longer receive food in other places. So we ordered a combo plate of steak with rice and potatoes which didn't arrive particularly fast either.An hour or so after we were seated the food finally arrived. The cut of meat was not very tasty but it was edible. The white rice and frozen fries were no mystery as they were what was expected of them.I don't know the gastronomic level of Portugal since it has been my first culinary experience there, but I doubt that it deserves a 4.6/5 as a score and I hope that my review will make a potential client see that it is not what you can expect from a restaurant with that score.I give it 2 stars because they were kind enough to serve us in Spanish while we were in their country. The treatment, despite the disastrous organization, was friendly and the cook apologized for the delay when he went out to collect the dishes.
