Lovely food and attentive staff. First night in Lisbon and very welcoming. Would recommend. Coffee delicious as well . Worth a visit.
Went here for our last night in Lisbon. Very disappointed. We had the paella—the only redeeming part of the dish was the rice. The lobster, crab, shrimp, and mussels were way overcooked as if they were cooked the day before and then reheated with the rice. The highlight of our dinner was the bread and butter. Service was good, especially since our waiter confirmed what we had thought about the paella. On the bright side, a homeless man is eating an unexpected dinner tonight. There are so many better options to eat in Lisbon. We only went here for convenience and didn’t read reviews ahead of time.
Sat outside and looked over the square Abu and Rick gave us great attention and service . Pasta with prawns was an interesting dish
Perfectly pleasant staff but the food is pretty poor. The restaurant is located in a touristy run of bang average eateries, waiters accosting passers by with pictures of their dishes on laminated menus. Unless you are tired from a long journey (as was I), and can’t be bothered to look for an alternative, avoid!
Art Deco cafe/restaurant with excellent food, service and atmosphere. Our favorites were the melon/prosciutto appetizer and cream of tomato soup. Steaks flavorful and tender. Garlic shrimp - scrumptious.
Absolutely flavorless food. Nothing more than a tourist trap. My husband and I agreed it’s the worst meal we can remember having. Service was fine, however.
I was hunting for a place to eat on my last night in Lisbon and as I was perusing the menu to Cafe Nicola, one of the helpful waitstaff. He informed me that the restaurant is the oldest in Lisbon, and when I did some checking, I discovered it was founded in 1787. Wow! The interior is classy, quiet, since it was late for lunch and early for dinner. I chose the octopus rice, which was satisfying. The fries were, once again, not up to par. What's up with the fries in Lisbon? Can no one make decent fries? It's not hard. For dessert, I had the chocolate cake, which wasn't sweet or taste very chocolatey. Is this typical for this restaurant or just this particular recipe? I had nothing else to compare the cake to since I've mostly been eating pastel de natas and gelato. But if it looks like a chocolate cake but doesn't take like one, is it still chocolate cake?
We visited this café late in the evening for drinks. The desserts looked tempting but we didn't try them. The atmosphere is nice, the waiter was very friendly. The people trying to sell you stuff will come right up to the tables which is a bit off-putting. They are pushy but harmless. The restaurant is a bit of a tourist trap but is in a very nice spot to watch the activity around you.
Friendly greeting although a little creepy with a strange waiter. The same strange waiter got my order wrong and insisted I ordered incorrectly. After persuading us to have cheese to start it arrived just cheese. No bread as we originally didn’t want bread and olives, the waiter told us “ I told you should of had bread” . At the end of he experience we paid and the waiter asked for a nice tip. We didn’t leave a tip and won’t recommend this place to anyone,
Bad, bad, really bad place to have something to eat. The youghurt portion was homeopathic, except of the price. The supposedly freshly pressed fruit juices were like 80% of water with a hint of fruit taste. Shameless rip-off. Don't go there unless you must. The food is not worth a fifth of the price they charge for it.

This is a typical place a British tourist would visit. 1 staff tries to persuade you to go in the restaurant which was a bit of a pain but it happens everywhere in Lisboa. The staff were friendly enough saying that, speaking perfect English as our Portuguese was limited. Nothing wrong with the drinks. The food on the other hand was just lame. The fries were half raw and half burnt. The steak and beans were very tasty. There was a strange dish that we had which not only had steak and black beans it had pineapple and and fried banana which was the funniest thing I had saw all day. So overall a strange visit and it will be forever memorable due to the fried banana.
Below average food. Salad Nicoise was edible but over priced for what it was. Also looking at other meals served none looked great.
This restaurant is a fixture in the history of Lisbon. They have fantastic seafood! My husband had octopus and I had a wonderful seafood dish with all kinds of different types of seafood. Service, quality and value was outstanding. It was a great suggestion from our hotel concierge.
What fabulous food, service and atmosphere. I can’t recommend this lovely restaurant more highly. Special thanks goes to our waiter Eder Teixeira who couldn’t do more for us, an absolute credit to the firm. Please go and enjoy like we did ??
Awful. Everything awful! The worst experience in my whole life. Our appetizer came and never got our meal. After 1 hour I was able to get the waiter and turns out he never submitted our order! Either they don’t like Americans or they really just suck. Wasted 1 hour of our day and never ate lunch. Just go somewhere else. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
