We have been coming here every year and it is always the same pleasure... lunch in this ideal setting is nothing but happiness... and the icing on the cake, the staff are charming.

Covão dos Musaranhos is an arm of the Óbidos Lagoon in the place of Bom Sucesso.
It owes its name to a small mammal measuring approximately 10 cm and weighing 15 grams.
weight that exists here.
According to an ancient legend, the shrew was a mythological figure half man/half fish, version
male of the mermaids, who appeared to the fishermen of the Lagoon.
There is a restaurant-bar with a terrace overlooking the Lagoon where I had a drink and a snack on a pleasant late afternoon.
I recommend!
Very nice place, very good food but the service, it is a shame, has not accompanied it.
We arrived at 2:00 p.m., with a reservation, and we started eating at 3:30 p.m. On several occasions we have ordered bread that has never arrived.
I don't know what the problem is: many customers, few waiters or both, but even if you are very patient and understand the difficulty, you cannot keep the customer waiting for so long.

We stopped in Covão after a walk around the lagoon, we asked to chop something, they told us that the kitchen had closed at 3pm. Not a minute has passed when a waitress passes by with two toasts to a couple at a table in front of us. Everything was fine, except it was 3:53 pm. When confronted, they responded that the couple had already asked for it a long time ago (??). Apparently the toasts here take 50 minutes to make and there is clearly little transparency in the service.

Waitress with a black t-shirt saying very rude staff. He lied that there was no more orange juice, when we asked another employee she brought the juice. Lots of rudeness and lack of education. I don't recommend it.
The site is wonderful. Quiet and with nature right there, however, we've tried to order something to bite, and we couldn't. Other tables have already eaten French fries, toast, and a cold cuts board, and we just managed to drink. Unfortunately, something is wrong. And don't tell me it's out of time, because tables that arrived after us have already eaten something, or are eating, and we managed to eat olives ??? For what it's worth.

This is a great place to eat. Plentiful variety of dishes with great specials and plates of the day. It's right on the inland end of the
Óbidos lagoon, great for bird watching with new hides having been built. Also new toilet blocks this year. The beaches of Foz de Arelho and Bom Sucesso are great. The prices here compare very favourably with other lagoon and beach restaurants. Recommended
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp into the restaurant from the parking. It is quite long and steep though, there is a disabled toilet.

Restaurant with a privileged view over the Óbidos lagoon, which at this point is already worth a visit. Diverse menu from toasts, snacks, to specialty dishes. The clams and Alentejo-style pork are recommended, and the highlight is the divine shrew spaghetti, even those whose black spaghetti “creates an impression” make their fingers lick. The broken eggs were good, the burger I didn't particularly like but my son did, the toast I found too dry. The staff was attentive and concerned despite being served by different elements. I recommend opting for the terrace if the weather permits.
