“Great food and service! I was on a trip near the lagoon which is close to the restaurant. When I wanted to go back every uber-driver cancelled on me because of the short trip. Wasn't safe to walk back and Tiago brought me home for free, super service. Thanks Tiago!“

“Covão dos Musaranhos is an arm of the Óbidos Lagoon in the place of Bom Sucesso.
It owes its name to a small mammal measuring approximately 10 cm and weighing 15 grams.
weight that exists here.
According to an ancient legend, the shrew was a mythological figure half man/half fish, version
male of the mermaids, who appeared to the fishermen of the Lagoon.
There is a restaurant-bar with a terrace overlooking the Lagoon where I had a drink and a snack on a pleasant late afternoon.
I recommend!“

“I would like to share my positive experience at Solar dos Amigos restaurant. The octopus I ordered was delicious, perfectly cooked and very flavorful. However, I want to mention that the portions, although generous, are perfect for one person if you have a good appetite. It is an excellent place to enjoy well-prepared dishes in a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who appreciate good food and satisfying portions.“

“Guaranteed one of the best restaurants in the region. Cozy atmosphere, friendly and differentiated service.
It's not cheap, but the prices are in line with the overall quality of the service.
The food is excellent. The wine cellar is great.
I recommend prior reservation.“

“Our group was very large and, even so, there were no problems. The service was efficient and the food was good and in large quantities. There is always a bit of noise because it is a very large restaurant, with a lot of people, particularly groups.“

“Arriving too late (1:30 p.m.) most of the dishes were sold out. We were still able to have lunch with duck rice and a fried Portuguese sausage. Hearty family cuisine, very friendly and funny waitress. With a dessert (lemon cream), 1/2 wine and mineral water, a bill of €27.“

“Very beautiful restaurant and very good food. We loved the starters and main dishes. The only negative point was the dessert, which was clearly not of the day. We were advised by an employee and unfortunately it was a hard cake that didn't fit in at all with the good experience we had had with the meal. It is not good form to recommend a dessert that is not fresh. Apart from this unfortunate event, the experience was good.“

Dank, dank, dank!“

“This is a late review, I was here in 2022, and definitely a great place to visit, the food was great and it felt all home made, the service was also good, I made reservations and so glad I did because the moment I arrived, the restaurant started to get busy, it was dinner and yes it might feel like is in the middle of nowhere, we had a great experience. Overall, I recommend this place. Oh, and our waiter was very nice to call us a taxi, Uber didn't work in that area.“

“Absolutely divine meal! The best meat I've eaten in a long time. An empty one (with shrimp) and a picanha that leaves you crying for more!! Good passion fruit sangria and everything was so good that (much to my regret) I couldn't find space for the desserts I saw passing by in the room...!!! I would go back more often if I lived nearby (which is not the case), but when I return to the area and the region, I will definitely return to Taberna. I only give 5 stars because there are no more ??
Irreproachable and attentive service!!!“

“**Review of A Telha**
Nestled in the heart of Cadaval, A Telha is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. The location alone is worth a visit; Cadaval is a charming town that offers a serene and picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you are someone who values peace and quiet, you might even consider making Cadaval your new home.
From the moment you step into A Telha, you are greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to ensuring that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of. Their professionalism and courtesy set the tone for a delightful meal.
The food at A Telha is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish is a testament to the chef's skill and passion for culinary excellence. Whether you're in the mood for traditional Portuguese fare or something with a modern twist, A Telha delivers on all fronts. The flavors are rich and authentic, and the presentation is both beautiful and appetizing. Every bite leaves you wanting more.
One of the highlights of my visit was the unique experience of having lunch with the president sitting at the next table. This speaks volumes about the restaurant's reputation and the sense of community it fosters. It's not every day you get to dine in such esteemed company, and it added a special touch to an already memorable meal.
In conclusion, A Telha is a must-visit for anyone in or around Cadaval. The combination of excellent food, outstanding service, and a tranquil location makes it a standout choice. I look forward to returning soon and reliving this wonderful experience.“
“A very nice environment, with friendly service. The food was excellent. I chose grilled Bife da Vazia, a truly juicy meat. My wife ordered Arroz de Tamboril which was delicious as well. The day was hot, so the lack of air conditioning was the only set back. Anyway it is a really nice restaurant to go to.“

“A highly recommended restaurant to try different dishes as a couple or with family/friends. Very nice views of the church from the interior patio. Very good treatment from the staff who gave us a table without a reservation despite it being full. We ordered the ceviche (OK but not the best of our lives), the cod croquettes which were delicious and to finish the Iberian pluma (good flavor but a little dry). For dessert: creme brulée, which was very good. In general a bit expensive compared to the rest of the restaurants in Óbidos.“

“Excellent food in a small village (Imaginário) near Caldas da Rainha.
It's not the cheapest but it's worth every euro.
The restaurant has a rustic look and, as background music, we have fados playing on the radio.
Very welcoming.
The rojoada is very good and the dessert, something I don't know exactly what, is strange at first and then it sinks in.“

“Is not touristic place. Is a hidden pearl of Baleals. Locals come here with families. Fresh and best seafood ever. And grill. And fantastic home made white wine. Absolutely love it. Has to be reserved, cose is full and crowded all the time“
“A bit pretentious as its name suggests.
The prices are correct, but the tastes are nothing exceptional (it's still OK despite everything). And I was entitled to very fast service between the starter and the main course, but I waited a long time for the dessert.
However, the chocolate cake is really very good.
And the terrace under the lemon tree is just great“

“Highly, highly recommend!! You only need 2 hours in Obidos Obidos. Then go to REX Gastro pub for a curry, sorry not pictured but it was amazing! Say hi to Simon, the owner, he is a lovely guy. And Buddy, pictured, is just a gentle giant. Wonderful place for lunch or dinner ?“

“Small village restaurant. Frankly, it's better to come and eat in this restaurant than in Obidos center. Top notch service. I went with 4 children, the waitress was super pleasant, and super patient, with the children's hesitations and changes of mind. Simple but very tasty home cooking. Everything is fresh.
Reasonable price. Huge children’s menu €8. Fish and shrimp €13.50. Meats between €11.50 and €17.50. Nice pieces of meat.“

“This is my favorite restaurant in town, the service is exceptional, and the food is excellent and at a wonderful cost. While many restaurants in Lourinha have kept raising their prices this one has maintained fair pricing. They treat you like family and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great dining experience. Love this place! Reservations are recommended since its always a full house.“

“Went there on 25 May, 2024 with some friends to celebrate a birthday.
Food was really good, service was outstanding (not overbearing). Easy to get to.
I had tuna ceviche (ceviche de atum) as a Starter, then oven roasted pork cheeks for my main course. Finished it all off with the Brownie for dessert.
A great meal and a great experience. Planning to go back again soon ?“

“A “hats off” experience?
Dinner for 2 people where we were treated by a friendly employee who advised us on a selection of dishes to share with extraordinary and surprising flavors!
The wine was another surprise! They only sell Georgian wine….and good!?
At the end, in addition to the visit from the friendly chef and owner, we also shared a dessert prepared with macerated ginga from the Óbidos region!
All this in a minimalist decor with a strong connection to the earth!

“Parking nearby in an average of 5 minutes. Waiting lines but they answered within 10 minutes. Efficient employees, vast menu. Access for disabled people. Food tastes normal, daily price and coffee €9.5. It has Mb but that day it was blocked, however there is the possibility of getting up in about 50 m. When working I recommend fast and efficient.“

“Very good food and very well served. Great service, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes. Quick service and delivery of orders, even with a full house. Family and relaxed atmosphere. That's why whenever I come to Caldas, it's a restaurant I go to several times.
Dietary restrictions: Given my restrictions, I was always informed about the ingredients and execution of the dishes. They adapted whenever there was something I couldn't eat.“

“4/5*
The Frango was lightly smoked with a beautiful golden crust and charcoal flavours. The meat was mostly succulent and tender, with a minuscule amount of dry breast. More spice or Piri Piri flavour would have been further appreciated.
Served alongside the Frango was the essential explosion of carbohydrates; Chips, rice and bread. There’s nothing better to soak up all the excess oils from the Frango. The rice was lightly fried in olive oil and the chips had a very neutral potato flavour.
The olives were a good touch, with slightly spicy and garlicky flavours. The salad had a light vinaigrette, white wine vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper.“

“Avenida Café is located in the center of Lourinhã and stands out for being a well-decorated space with an informal atmosphere and friendly service.
On this visit I started with Bread, Olives and a dish of Black Pork Loin Paio.
For the main dish, the house specialty, that is, the rare Beef Bitoque with Fried Egg, Pickles, Olives and accompanied by good French Fries. The steak is thin, the meat is tender and the sauce is quite tasty. There was also a small, well-seasoned Mixed Salad. I accompanied the meal with Stout Beer and finished with a great Rocha Pear Jam, Chocolate Mousse and DOC Brandy from Lourinhã.
Meal around €20.
Very good!“

“Great evening in this typical restaurant.
Top staff and excellent value for money: +-25 euros/person for a cocktail, a super fresh fish dish, wine dessert, tea/coffee.
Small downsides for the sorbet which was very sweet and for the long wait between glasses/dishes.“

“The service was great, and the food was delicious. The bacalhau was great!! I personally prefer the potato chips on the side and not dipped into the tomatoe and olive oil. Some of the potato chips from the bacalhau dish were soggy, but that is a personal preference. The octopus was delicious AND tender. The beef was tender but could have some sauce on the side. We really enjoyed the lunch and great service!Prices are a little high for Portuguese standards.“

“Well served, varied and cheap lunch menu! The Brazilian feijoada is rich and well served. The menu includes a dish, drink, dessert and coffee! €11 - The older lady (sorry I don't know her name) who still serves customers is very friendly. It's always full of local workers. But just wait a little and you'll find a seat quickly.

“A wonderful dining experience. The ace are the window seats, be sure to request when making your reservation. But even if you are not seated there, that does not detract from the exceptinal food (including everything we saw leave the kitchen!). We started with pastéis bacalhau & goats cheese and honey, followed by pork and steak. Dessert of bolo de chocolate & strawberries. As it was a special occasion, we had a lovely bottle of bubbles. A perfect way to spend a special afternoon. We will return for sunset dining soon.“
“A good place if one wants to live the Portuguese experience of a pastry shop. Of course, a little badly organized and with some slightly unfriendly ladies. I went 3 times for breakfast, I picked up my table without having to do it because to serve 5 tables inside it seems that they need a lot of staff and the ladies, none of the three days, thanked me. It is an endemic disease in Portugal. There is a bit of dryness in customer service. It seems that the foreigner bothers them. Of course, their cakes are wonderful.“
“This café is very well located in the city, with a large terrace very close to the La Vie shopping center. Inside, the decor is austere, the atmosphere is impersonal and the colors are muted; If it weren't for some paintings on display for sale, nothing would be notable. The service is acceptable but lacks warmth and special attention to customers. The main advantage of this cafe is its location.“

“Came here late night. Did have to wait quite some time for the food (about an hour and a half) but honestly I thought it was worth it. We each got an appetizer, breads, and a main dish. Food was quite good and very rich. Staff were kind and attentive! We even got a taste of the veal tartar which was amazing!
I personally didn’t care for the atmosphere with the blue, but that doesn’t change the food which was extremely good!!“
