“Lovely little restaurant. Has plenty of vegan options. Just make sure to inform them that you are vegan (the menu says vegetarian) and they will make it fully vegan. We went there twice when staying in Sao Jorge island. Loved the vegan meatballs made with chickpeas. The soy burger was also ok. Very friendly owners. The cook came to check that all my needs are met. Also, please be aware in case you have a ferry to catch that there is only one cook and she makes all meals from scratch. “We've been around 10 times at this restaurante because it is for us one of the best regarding portuguese cuisine. The menu has portuguese dishes, but made modern. You can be sure to find fresh and hand picked ingredients in well prepared dishes. I recommend Peixinhos da Horta as a good starter and the Octopus main dish (but any other is nice as well). The service have always been great and we were never disappointed.“
