First time in Viana and first time at the place, very good attention received by the waiter who understood us and served us perfectly. We ordered lasagna, francesinha (spectacular), garlic bread and mixed salad, and for dessert a cookie cake that I would repeat if it wasn't already full. Highly recommended establishment, we will be back.

Great location. Good atmosphere. Excellent service from Diogo. We tried the octopus, the Zé do Pipo cod and the Pimenta steak. The doses are huge and enough for two people without any problems. As we didn't know that, we had a lot of food left over (we took it for dinner ?). Just as feedback, the octopus was the least good dish, it was a little dry. The price is not cheap, we paid €40 per person. I hope to return to try other dishes!

After a visit to “Tasquinha da Praça” with my mother, I feel compelled to share our experience. The Francesinha I ordered was very good. Each layer was a new chapter of flavor, and the sauce was quite pleasant.
My mother was treated with a kindness and respect that is rarely seen. The staff made us feel like we were family, and that, to me, is worth as much as the food. However, I must admit that the final price of €50 for both of us left us a little surprised. I thought it was a salty value for lunch. (We ordered two francesinhas, two somersby and two desserts)
That said, I give “Tasquinha da Praça” four stars. It's not every day that you find a place that treats both your belly and your heart with equal importance. Would you recommend this restaurant? Yes, but perhaps it's better to save it for special occasions, when your heart and wallet are ready for a little extravagance.
I had the best steak for long time. Perfectly grilled, excellent pepper sauce, delicious potato chips. Service very friendly and attentive. Can only recommend!
