Lovely family dinner venue. Up the steps just above the main river front, this traditional restaurant has the perfect mix of traditional comfort food cooked well, friendly staff and a cosy setting with a lovely view of the river. We went in the early evening so we avoided the dinner rush and enjoyed the early evening sun. The food we had was good quality traditional Portuguese cooking. Delicious seafood, crispy roast potatoes and nice wines. The restaurant was clean and comfortable with white linen on the tables. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch. I wasn’t expecting much because it’s in a touristy area and most of the nearby restaurants looked very touristy. I was glad to discover that this is a very good restaurant. Food and service were both excellent. The bacalhau cod dish with potatoes was particularly good. Wine pours were also generous. A great choice if you’re in the neighborhood.

We took the stairs up alongside the river side and found this gem of a restaurant. The food was lovely, we had the cod bake and lamb chops, and lots of lovely deserts - we went twice during our trip. The staff were really friendly and nice, in particular Mary. The sunset view was amazing too!

The restaurant is on the upper walkway with a fantastic view of the river. On the key below musicians came went entertain the crowd Unfortunately my steak was very tough and full of gristle my wife’s fish was well cooked and both dishes were presented nicely The staff were attentive and entertaining Would visit again Watch out for the seagulls who want to drop in and join you in your meal

I really loved the food. We visited twice on our trip for dinner. We came back a second time because we knew the food was delicious, good drinks, very nice staff, an amazing view overlooking the bridge and water and all of this for a very good prize. Would absolutely recommend.

On a terrace overlooking the Douro. The food was good value but a bit formulaic, but in Portugal that means tasty . Service rather slow (this seemed to be a common thread in Porto - I think they were overwhelmed by the crowds).

We lunched here twice last week, it was so good. The location is perfect looking over the waterfront and you have great entertainment from the buskers below. The service was great and the food was excellent. We will be back!
The staff is great! Best service I received in a long while! The food was delicious! I ate meat, and my fiance had fish! We got a complementary port wine and chuppa chupps candy.

Cute little place with clean toilet. Terrace is on the balcony overlooking the water and crowd walking the waterfront. Waiter was nice and food and service good. Prices were good as well. All in all good experience

Great location looking out over the bars and water area below. The staff rearranged the tables so that 6 of us could sit together. Very attentive staff who explained the menu in detail and helped choose a bottle of fizz for the Birthday boy. The vegetarian dish was to die for and the steaks perfectly cooked to perfection. We still had room for the deserts which all hit the mark. 2nd trip to Porto and the 5th to Portugal and this is the best meal to date. Thank you to all the staff, we will be back.

Waited for 50 mins for an uncooked egg and salmon sandwich, still waiting for fries. Poor guys rushed off their feet with one person in the kitchen. If you’re in a hurry avoid. If you want to receive your order bank on being there for at least 2 hrs.
