Four of us went for dinner to this place. Food and service were great. We chose fresh sea bass from the display and got it grilled. The local beer Super Dock is outstanding.
Friendly staff, authentic cuisine with quality local products, generous servings, Reservations recommended. Great experience, we had a great time.Obrigado.

The food and staff are amazing. ABUL and Bruna rock. The Tuna was amazing, the service was better then many exclusive restaurants.
If you want good seafood in Rossio this is the place - great service smart and professional staff above all great food - we shared the Cataplana which was around €50 so about £21 each - fantastic and loads of fish and shellfish
Mixed experience! The food was really good, when it arrived! Two main meals out of three were served and when we asked about the third it was as though they had no idea what we were talking about ?. Eventually the waiter checked his order pad, disappeared to the kitchen and brought the missing food. Service was interesting, a little Fawlty Towers style. We are English but live in Portugal and speak very good restaurant Portuguese but even we had difficulty making ourselves understood in either language, the waiter apparently spoke fluent Spanish as was evidenced by his interaction with another table. The people at the side of us asked for bread but gave up when neither them nor us could make ourselves understood. All in all a pleasant evening although as indicated service could be better, a sense of humour and patience help.
We came as a group of two couples, experienced travellers. This restaurant looks similar to many others in this tourist area, but the display of freshly caught fish in the window caught our eye. After an enjoyable discussion with the owner we chose a large wild seabass to share which came cooked to perfection with vegetables. The wine was also very good. The best dessert was probably the pastéis de nata which came with a tiny shot of port. It’s clear that the owner and staff take great pride in the quality of their food and the experience of their guests. Definitely recommended especially if you like fish.
We try this place on a Saturday night. The service was fast and professional, the food was amazing and portions was so generous.the price was ok: 1 salad, two fish plates, water and a wine glass for 50 €.
I had the best meal . Try the curry prawns with basmatic rice. It was amazing . . I had the Ginga Rossini. I was served by Manuel. Outstanding service. For dessert I had Pastel De natas with port
Food wasn’t valued for that amount of money we payed. It was too expensive. Only service was good………………………………………………..

After arriving to Lisbon from Lagos, my wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner. If you have ever walked the streets of Lisbon, you know that there is a plethora of restaurants to choose from. While approaching the end of a street, an employee emerged from within a restaurant called Peixaria do Rosso. The friendly woman handed over a menu, and ushered us over to a vacant table within their outdoor seating area. After looking over the menu, we placed an order for food (I ordered an entree and the Parmesan stuffed chicken with mashed potatoes) and for a bottle of wine. Being that we're not familiar with Portuguese wines, we randomly selected a white wine called Mar Salgado (translated in English as "the great salt sea"). Shortly after, the same employee brought the bottle of wine, uncorked it, and poured a very small amount for my wife and I to taste. Upon tasting it, we realized that it was not to our liking (that's the nicest way that I can put it), and politely asked the employee if she could send it back. Since the employee did not speak English well (respectfully), another employee came to our table to inquire about our request. I politely explained to this employee that we would like to have the wine sent back, and would like another selection that was on the menu. The employee made note of the new bottle that we wanted to order and five minutes later returned to our table with her manager. Now I understand that customer service is handled differently based on location; however, I felt like she should have informed us that she was consulting with her manager. Jose (manager), in a condescending manner, began explaining to me how the process of purchasing a bottle of wine in Portugal works. He explained that once the bottle is opened, he cannot sell it to another customer (clearly a no-brainer); therefore, he would be taking a loss (please keep in mind that I have an MBA-I say this with a humble heart) on the bottle if he allowed us to send it back. What Jose failed to realize is that he would not have to take a loss on the bottle. Since the wine that we selected (Mar Salgado) was offered on the menu with the option to purchase by glass or bottle, Jose could simply cork the bottle and sell the remaining portion by the glass (look at me giving away free business tips). My wife and I were so perturbed by the unprofessional manner in which Jose handled this matter, that we honestly cannot recall how the food tasted. Additionally, we observed the disgusting manner in which Jose interacted with his staff (his staff were maneuvering around him as if he had an invisible whip that he could crack at any moment). I think I would be giving anyone a disservice if I recommended this establishment to them. Hopefully, Jose will eventually learn that no matter their origins, you should treat paying customers with respect.
We stumbled across this gem and had lunch. The best steemed clams I have had. The curry prawns were fantastic too. it was so good that we returned for dinner the next day. Service was great. Try them when you are in Lisbon.
Do not go here if you expect service. It took over 1 over to get the food. 30 minutes to get the bill. The waiter could not even open a bottle of wine. The only thing that was positive, was the food. It was good bit not fantastic.
Nice cosy little spot just off the big square and around the corner from the busy shopping streets, sheltered in a side street so you feel insulated from the bustle. We stopped in for a drink or two while waiting for a friend just arriving in town, ended up staying on for lunch as he got lost on the way to us. The staff were all very young and seemed a little chaotic, but we got served fairly promptly and the food was good - nice crispy little fish croquettes and some enormous salads, all very fresh and tasty. Enjoyed the people-watching as much as the food, and some excellent chilled wine.
This small restaurant on a side street off Rossio Square specializes in fresh fish cooked Portuguese style. My husband had the linguini with prawns and I had baked cod with radish greens and potatoes. Both were excellent. Judging by the clean plates at the tables next to us, other diners also enjoyed their meals. The portions were huge; two people could easily share a main dish.
