Amazing food and hospitality
One of those spots that is on the list to visit and that never failed to surprise. If there are things that make me love Alentejo more and more, it's this: we can either eat typical food in any restaurant, or we can be surprised by modern and regional flavors like at Quetzal. The food was magnificent, the atmosphere was magnificent, the team was magnificent, the place was magnificent. Yes, yes, yes, I want to go more often.

Wine producer with store, restaurant and art center.
The restaurant has an incredible menu and a view of the vineyard that leaves no one indifferent.
High prices, especially for service that is provided with communication difficulties and some lack of preparation.

Today I had my first experience visiting a winery and doing a wine tasting and it was a unique experience. I had the wonderful surprise of being served by Mr. João who understands a lot about his product and what he is showing. The dishes were delicious and very well prepared. I loved trying more of the whites and especially the Quetzal. The view from the place is beautiful and worth every second! My thanks to Carla who invited me to meet and gave me her card.

We really enjoyed our experience at Quetzal. The waiters are very welcoming and professional, with much knowledge of the dishes, you can ask them anything. Great passion for their work. We tried an amazing sparkling wine from their vineyard to pair with the dishes. We tried the croquettes, duck, cherry gaspacho (with fried mini cavala it was deliscious and unexpected) , we tried the lagostim too it was so fresh and tasty and beautifully paired with the wine. The Place is clean and has an art expo downstairs, and a shop at the entrance. We were there for a few hours, eating and admiring the view and calm. We will definitely be back. ??

We had the pleasure of having lunch and it was incredible! We ate octopus, ravioli and several desserts to try and everything was magnificent. Chef Mourato works with Alentejo cuisine in an incredible way! The wines are also excellent. Very beautiful atmosphere and impeccable, very friendly service. It's worth sitting down to spend a good few hours enjoying good wine and extraordinary food. Don't forget to try the desserts! Order pajamas!

A wonderful place to visit, it’s location provides sweeping views across the Beja Alentejo, and the best part is the wine tasting tour, with a wonderful explanation of the history and sustainability of their wine heritage. The culmination of the visit was tasting their red, Queztal Reserve poured by João Santos (An excellent sommelier with a deep knowledge of wine) From start to finish this wine encompasses everything that a red should provide. Elegance, strength and surprise. Each of the layers unfolds slowly, the dark fruits of blackberry and black currant lead to bright tannins, the mouth feel of velvet slipping away the surprise of tobacco, dark chocolate and leather. Drink it on its own and savour with friends or let it compliment your favourite food. You will not regret the time spent in its company and at this beautiful location

We went with a small group to several wineries in the region Sept 9, 2022. The wine was amazing, the people were so friendly and eager to show off their beautiful facility, we had a great time, as you can probably tell from the pictures. The Art Center was so quirky and fun, and the restaurant was fantastic with a wonderful view.

Very nice experience, the food is very good (10/10) it exceeded expectations. However, I must point out that the fish from the garden were unconventional and perhaps the recipe needs to be improved. Otherwise, it is a place to return to, without a doubt!!
