Restaurant with excellent bread and cornbread. Very good butter and cheese. The beef heart tomato salad was delicious, as was the charcoal-roasted alheira. Divine ham. The best wine cellar. What I didn't like so much was the lamb in the oven because it had run out of roasting time, it was too dry and slightly burnt. It wasn't a good choice. Very good sponge cake. Slightly loud ambient music.

Great restaurant, great food, great service! A must on anyone’s list while visiting Portugal. The rustic kitchen and cooking method is a true Portuguese culinary experience. You gotta eat here!

Excellent in all aspects:
Cozy space and from Chef Cunha there is Bia and Lukas and the rest of the friendly staff, good disposition, the best you can ask for

Just one drawback, but the quality in everything surpassed this small detail, I had chosen a Menu for less than 10 people and it was not fulfilled.
It was so good that it was forgotten.

I didn't like
The truth is that I discovered it after seeing advertising on the Internet. When I arrived I asked if it was possible to have lunch and they told me yes.
But it was generally necessary to make a reservation, I was happy to know that I was going to eat there after a long journey and after waiting for an hour they said it would no longer be possible as they were full
poor organization or lack of understanding between them
It was a shame because the restaurant seemed to have everything you needed to have a good time.
(think about needing it in the next advertisements as reservations are necessary) so I only give it one star.

I'm sorry, I really wanted to leave a good review but I was so disappointed!!
The dish chosen was slow roasted shoulder, my god how dry the meat was, rice and beans, nothing exceptional and nothing that would make me come back or that would make me recommend!!
I cried over the 80€ (couple) I paid for something that was honestly banal food.
The service was very good and super attentive.

We enter through a large wooden staircase overlooking the pool until we reach the main hall. We are very well received. Unparalleled quality bread and cornbread. Sea butter which is a rarity. Everything you ask for is answered instantly. For starters we went for the heart tomato salad, black pork smoked board and beef codao, all washed down with a stupendous sparkling berry from the Primavera cellars. When in doubt between the rice dishes that are the house specialty, we opt for chicken! Divine, superb, incredible! Another mecca of good eating!

Space with brutal potential.
The broken eggs were average, but the sausages (alheira, sangeira and chorizo) were weak.
The mendinha rib was clearly a very high quality meat. In my opinion, technically poorly made. A piece of that size requires greater care so that the flavor of the roast seasoning is absorbed throughout the meat. In the middle of the piece it was noticeable that it was not cooked well, there was a lack of flavor from the seasonings that were not absorbed by the meat. It only tasted like salt in the areas where he fell after cutting the meat at the table.
The service was slow and they forgot to order desserts even when we intentionally asked for the menu.
The noise was too much, not because it was full (which it was, fortunately), but because there were too many groups having a “glass” dinner.
I go there more often, and I believe they will surprise me. The owner's passion and effort can be seen and I believe that the missing edges have been ironed out.
