I ordered two large pizzas over the phone, half with chicken with cheddar and margherita and the other with pineapple with ham and minced meat with bacon. I believe my order was directed to Dominos near my home in Vila do Conde. You can't even identify the flavor of the pizzas by looking, the taste is likely to be burnt or bitter. There's no shame in delivering this to people's homes.

This would be the fifth time that I would get pizzas from this restaurant but due to the terrible service and customer attention, I ended up leaving without buying anything and I will certainly not be returning. I went into the restaurant to place an order with an existing online promotion, which I needed help with as the promotion was not being applied at the end of the selection process. The person who helped me wasn't very interested from the beginning but tried to do exactly the same steps on my cell phone and the problem persisted. After another attempt, he stated that the company's ordering interface was really very confusing and that if I wanted help I would have to contact Domino's directly, this being 10 pm. I then decided not to buy anything in this restaurant, due to the lack of interest of the worker in question and I then went to Pizza Hut where I received very good service as always. It would be important for chains of this size to have at least one person in the restaurant who speaks 100% Portuguese and, above all, who is interested in solving problems and helping the customer and not discarding and moving on to the next person. I won't be back and I don't recommend it.

The personal experience I am going to describe here will be a little extensive, however I sincerely hope that it will be widely read by potential clients.
First of all, I am (was) a frequent customer of Dominos, where, for personal geographical reasons, I placed my orders mostly at Dominos da Maia (Always well attended to).
I visited Dominos in Vila do Conde a few times, without having anything to complain about, until yesterday (28.06.2024). Yesterday I decided to place an online order at Dominos in Vila do Conde, to take home and it should be ready for collection at 19:30/40. I leave work at 7:15 pm and it takes me about 10 minutes to get there.
It turns out that there was a serious accident on one of the access roads and the alternatives were naturally blocked. As soon as I found out, I contacted the Dominos helpline (approx. 7:25 pm) to inform them of what had happened and that I didn't know what time I would arrive because I was stuck in traffic.
The lady put me in contact with the store in Vila de Conde, where I explained what happened again. The response was "But your order is ready, the best I can do is leave it on the hot shelf until you arrive" to which I informed him that I didn't know what time it would arrive because I was stuck in traffic, but it stayed that way.
I arrived at the place at 8:30 pm (Approx). I thought I would have to wait for them to place my order again, but when I arrived at the counter, what was my surprise, that you recognized me (I don't know how), he goes to that hot shelf, takes my order and give it to me. Note: I hope they didn't use my order email to do some research on me.
Now I ask you to carefully read my conversation with the employee, which I will try to describe in the best possible way, because it was surreal to say the least (I should point out that I had not yet paid/paid for the withdrawal).
Not least it is also important to mention that the store was not to blame for my delay, it dealt with a situation that no one can predict or control.
Me: Has my order been on the hot shelf until now? Employee: Yes Me: But you know that the food is no longer in good condition, don't you? Employee:Yes Me: OK, so you know and you want to serve me anyway? Employee: Yes, but when you called the order it was already made Me: I understand that but I called before 7:30 pm to inform you what happened, you know that this will not be in a condition that will generate a complaint and you still want me to take it? Employee: I can't do anything, the most I can do is offer you a Pizza next time. Me: I don't want, nor do I need to be offered anything, I just wish the order had been served to me in good conditions and that won't be in good condition. Employee: Yes, I understand but I can't do anything Me: And if I didn't come to pick up the order, what would you do? Employee: Well... Me: Ok forget it, please make the payment…
Not being a kitchen expert, I easily realized that 2 Pizzas + Cheese Breads + Breads with chorizo on a hot plate reheating for 1 H when I was about to eat it would feel like rubber.
So I headed home where my wife and daughter were desperately waiting for the usual delicious Dominos pizzas, we sat down to dinner and without any surprises we tried the new Dominos Rubber Pizzas, and the spectacular Cheese Chowders...
