It is a nice pub to hang out with friends, although dining was not a great experience. I ordered some grilled squids and had to wait almost an hour for it to be ready. Overall the food was good.

The staff does what they can, but the organization is regrettable. We arrived on Sunday evening at a late hour but were told the kitchen was open. After a longer than normal wait, we were told that after all we could only eat pizza and garlic bread. Lacking another option, it had to be. The pizza dough was raw, however the flavor wasn't the worst (even though the main ingredients were only added at the end, a little haphazardly, and undercooked).
The wine was worth it, which was fresh.
Central Pub's location and name deserved better, and so did the customers.

Horrible. Staff was not friendly and the pizzas are just oven baked pizza. Worst meal in a long time, especially in the Azores and Santa Maria you can get much better!

I don't recommend it to anyone, the food may be good but it's not worth it, more than two hours waiting for a pizza, real disorganization, employees pass by and don't even care, among other things... Not to be repeated without a doubt.

I chose the vegan pizza, a side of potatoes and the famous Santa Maria melon.
I had a great time :-)

the service is really bad. the waiters passed by 5 times without taking our order, not even drinks. waiters never came, we left after 20 minutes and went to La Travessa. Best decision

The pizzas are not pizzas but rather quiches. The staff speaks almost exclusively Portuguese. So: Well...

A restaurant with quite a variety compared to the rest of the island, very good pizzas and very attentive service. The atmosphere and place are very nice.

Very dark space, very friendly staff, but very greasy and tasteless food.
There is a space for children, very good, but the owner was worried about the back door being closed because of the wind, which is why the children have to go in and out.

There are other richer places in the area. A pretty bad pizza, it looked like it was from a supermarket.

Well prepared food, generous portions, acceptable prices. However, I didn't like having just finished dinner, they lifted my plate, they didn't deign to ask if I wanted dessert or coffee, I was still waiting, to see, 10 minutes, not even a question, with several employees serving the tables next to. It is clear that they give priority to regular customers, another situation that I hate, whether on the mainland or on any island, speaking first in English, then in Portuguese. I know the island is known as the Algarve of the Azores, but bad habits shouldn't matter.

Very busy, at least in November. The meeting place for all locals too. Price/performance top. I definitely enjoyed the pizza and Francesinha and were sufficient. Price completely okay.
