We literally stumbled across this place as my fiance spotted a garden courtyard squirred away inbetween some buildings. You have all the food on display, freshly cooked, you pick up your tray and point to what you would like. We had the creom of veg soup followed by chicken, with a choice of tasty roasters, salad, rice coleslaw etc. So one meat and 3 other accompanying food item from which to select. Large portions and we took our trays and sat in the garden. It's in the middle of a small shopping centre we'll hidden actually. I have given it 5 stars for the category its in, the food quality and price. A local food place with good honest fresh food very cheaply priced. We paid 21,50 for the 2 courses a cola and cappuccino.

I haven't been since prior to the Covid pandemic, but Pimenta Rosa is always on my list of places to go for breakfast or lunch when I am in Porto. The outside table on the patio and garden are tranquil and a quiet oasis in the middle of the city. Breakfast is good value, with fresh juice, cafe, fruit, scone and pastry -- and lunch is served buffet style with a daily changing menu -- the salads are always fabulous. Great value and always friendly and comfortable.
