I visited this restaurant for the first time. Located at the exit of Famalicão to the north, within of a grove of trees, away from the road, a very pleasant and cool place now that we are having great temperatures to explore these beautiful lands of Portugal. In the first impression before entering the house, you are " suspicious" . When you open the door When you enter the space, you immediately feel at ease because you have the " crime scene" as if to say, the place where our food will be prepared. Then a counter appears and a beautiful rustic space, cozy, with beautiful decoration typical of this type of restaurants, stone walls and then the owner appears. We are received with all the friendliness, a lot of calm, and knowledge. After a description of the menu, ("old" menu: mentioned here my least pleasant note) We chose a Barrosã beef rib. Spectacular, very tender meat, grilled in point, simple seasonings, but which provided a beautiful accompaniment to the palate. Accompanied with some potatoes and greens, very well prepared. Speaking of Accompaniment, the mature red wine recommended by the host, was the house wine that it was privately produced in the Meda region. Excellent! To finish, we chose a burnt cream, which was an excellent choice. It will be one to repeat, even experimenting with other dishes such as duck rice, cod in various ways, roast veal, etc. Finally, the price of this time spent here and leaving here with complete satisfaction with all this repast, is surprisingly positive!
