We came here specifically to try the “broken” francesinha. A francesinha without the bread and with everything in pieces and the potatoes also within the mix.
Super great!!! Loved it!

Will for sure come again! Service is great also!

For dessert had a great delicious bowl with strawberries ?

Café that operates as a snack bar for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, this snack bar stands out for presenting a "escangalhada" type francesinha, unfortunately I didn't try the specialty and went for the traditional one, I'm surprised at the height of the francesinha, it uses bread shaped for a more square appearance, it contains sausage and a thick steak but at the point that made my eyes shine and my mouth salivate.
The molo is something different from what is expected for Gaia, more of the traditional origin of Porto/Matosinhos with a flavor of black pepper spice, making it have a spicier flavor for more sensitive people.

The service was good, although it took longer because you can see that the francesinha is made fresh, so expect fresh ingredients. The cook is very attentive.

I recommend

The francesinha was very good, but I would have preferred the steak to be thinner and the price lowered.
The staff is extremely friendly!

We arrived without reservation, with a baby and not speaking Portuguese at all. The waitress was very pleasant and made the effort to try to understand us and satisfy us. She was very kind. Good and plentiful

My name is Darkhom, I'm Brazilian and I was in Gaia in 2012. I lived next to Dr. Café. Wonderful and welcoming place. I became friends with Dona Inês and her son, José Manoel... I even spent Christmas 2012 with them, as a result of the friendship I made by going to the café every day. Dona Inês has a refined taste, she is a great artist and all the things she serves are very delicious. I miss you a lot. Rating 1000. Hugs to everyone if they are still the same administrators.
