We walked across the bridge to Jardim do Morro and sat on the grassy knoll with hundreds of others waiting for the sunset. Looked for a more quiet spot, we headed down the stairs and found this tiny wine bar. Finally Away from the crowds we encountered a gorgeous view of the Douro River.
sitting here as I write, with the love of my life and a glass of this wonderful wine, they call it a green wine, very sparkly and fresh. Looking at the view sparks up more feelings :)
We were on our way to a different restaurant when the cheesy bread caught our eye. The waiter was very helpful in explaining the dishes and man were we glad that we stopped here! The food was very good and filling. I ordered Sangria and it was clearly one of the best I've ever had. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again. Our daughter ordered the Alheira and liked it so much that she tried it at two other restaurants -- Cafe Miraporta was the best of the three.
