I just happened to be passing by while walking to a grocery market, and the smell of the BBQ captured me. The place was bustling with people. I came back to get some BBQ chicken without sauce, just original. I asked for half a chicken but only the dark meat (thighs and legs) since I don’t like breast meat. I used Google Translator to ask. All the staff appeared attentive and friendly, though in a no-nonsense way. They weren’t smiling or anything when you walked in, but they were attentive to your needs. For the value, too, it was affordable and delicious.

This restaurant is really great, the service is fast, efficient and the servers have an exceptional smile. Good quantity and quality. Well done everyone and thank you

Good place to eat in Vilanova de Gaia, near the English Court and 200 meters from the yellow line metro stop. Abundant food, let yourself be advised by the waiters, in my case they recommended 1/2 serving for two ?? and thank goodness because if I ask for 1/2 for each one it is impossible to finish it. Very clean and quiet place, it is a kind of chalet with flags on the door that might make you think it is very expensive, there were two of us and we ate for €34 with drinks and dessert. Recommended if you go to Porto.

There is the restaurant above, more touristy, and the one below, more traditional, and in the one we chose to visit, we sat at the counter. There were suggestions for the dish of the day, in addition to the many options on the menu, and on this occasion we ordered cod (dish of the day). Well served, with potatoes and chickpeas, but I think the flavor was missing something, anyway, great value for money.

After booking for 1:30 pm they say it's first come, first serve....terrible service.
I didn't get to try the food because after 2 hours of waiting for something that was scheduled I left.

The grilled salmon and rojões were well served and well prepared.

I ate there on a work day in Porto because some colleagues took us, and the truth is that I liked it. The service was good, the atmosphere was as expected and the food was very good and original. We ordered the cod from Carpa and it was very good. Before, they gave us some appetizers that were delicious but it's hard for me to say what they were.
A great place if you want to eat like the locals.

Wonderful! I went several times. I honestly don't know what I liked more. Cod, shrimp, octopus… even sardines, which I'm not a fan of, are delicious! Huge portions! Wonderful!

A little far away, but it's worth it, a large place, with several dining rooms, super attentive waiters, who did not hesitate to say that we were ordering a lot of food (as it would have been). The brutal portions, half portions that are enough for two or three people.
It is true that they give you some croquettes (very delicious, cod and other meat) for starters without asking for them and they charge you 0.95.
Despite this, very good.
