Very welcoming space,
After entering we forget that we are in Santo Ovídio and we find ourselves in a regional restaurant in one of our villages in this wonderful Portugal ?

Parking: You need to search the streets around you.

Prices too high for what was served.
I don't recommend venison feijoada, poorly served, little meat and lots of beans.
Extremely expensive wines.
Not to be repeated...

The space is very creative, choice of wine throughout the space, wine rack on the wall, just choose. Quality food, very pleasant atmosphere.

Nice place. Its advantages end there. Very difficult communication with the waiter. English is not spoken here. The soup of the day turned out to be carrot and cabbage puree soup. Again, it was impossible to clarify this in advance, because the waiter does not speak English. We barely communicated through Google Translate. The pateish de bakalayu turned out to be very fatty fritters fried in a deep fryer. Airy, light, but there were almost no fish. Heartburn started from frying. The selection of wines is good, but you go to a separate room to choose at your own discretion. Olives are bitter and weak. I will not come here a second time. I can't advise.

Let's get to the facts:
PROS:
- tasty food
- funny experience with choosing wine directly from the wine cellar
CONS:
- service was too slow (we sat down at around 8:15 pm and the main course arrived at the table around 9:40 pm)
- distracted staff (as the food was taking a while, we ordered something more than starters but it was only the second time we ordered that they were delivered; they served the main course and I had to get up from the table and go after an employee to get cutlery for serve the food)
- coffee only available by the bag (I know it's a restaurant choice, but it doesn't make any sense to me)
- price (meal where we didn't order desserts as everything was taking a long time and we still ended up at €40 per person, which doesn't justify it at all considering the service provided to us)
FINAL EVALUATION:
It doesn't justify a visit in the slightest! for these types of values you would expect a much better service and experience than what was provided!! A shame!! I can even say that it was a disappointment considering the comments I had already heard and read about this space.

Good food, great wine selection, the service, however, is far below reasonable for a restaurant of this level...staff are mostly friendly and helpful, but without the slightest idea of what they are doing.

Excellent restaurant. We look for restaurants with some reference but with reasonable prices. For lunch or dinner for two. This is, without a doubt, in accordance with our requirements. Friendly employees, pleasant service, excellent food and exemplary cuisine.
Many possible gastronomic solutions.
Let's go back to test the menu. We certainly won't regret it!...

Good for those who want to eat meat and pay well for it. Unjustified price in a more Portuguese style restaurant. Save the meat that, without being exceptional, is good

We have been to this restaurant several times, so we have seen the quality decrease abruptly and the prices increase in proportion.
The penultimate time we ordered cod, it was extremely dry, so we requested hot olive oil. They brought burnt oil with a horrible taste that ruined the food. When we complained, the person in charge replied angrily that we weren't right. Quite upset, he opened new olive oil in front of us to compare. This new olive oil was great. He didn't apologize for his previous manners or change dishes, especially the cod that went in the trash.
The last time he served me a 2019 white wine that was completely oxidized, he didn't care, he said it was the quality of the wine and left the table. Good food with spoiled wine, imagine that. We are talking about almost €100 per couple.
It is with great regret that I will not return to this restaurant. It was great and has a great atmosphere, but with terrible service.

A meal for two with a starter, wine and dessert costs around €80. A value that requires a team of experienced and attentive employees. The cod with cornbread was well prepared except for the potatoes which had no seasoning. The octopus rice tasted a little too much like pepper and sun-dried tomatoes. Of note is the orange tart with an impeccable flavor and the wonderful bagged coffee served in a small bowl. Cartuxa's Monte de Pinheiros wine was very good. The atmosphere is friendly, but the general appreciation does not convince us to return to visit.

I had heard how wonderful this place was and even followed her on Insta but held off going to this place because I was a little worried that they might not speak English there , my bad ! Totally English speaking and menus, Phew ! .
The food was magnificent and prepared with thought and passion , flavors bold and rich , this is a good place to eat family style, because you’ll want to taste everything. I loved how the wine was sold , there was a young wine wall that you’d walk up to and the bottles have a price tag hanging on it and you select your wine that way, there is also a old wine library (intimate size room, where you could even do a dinner party inside the room for 20 people) . There’s an open fire grill in the dining room and vaulted ceilings, that gives the place a warm and homey feel. The cadence of the dinner was efficient, but not rushed by any means. I’m soooo going back and recommend you all take the D line metro to the end of the line , then it’s just round the corner , GO!!

Wheelchair accessibility: That’s a hard no , sorry

Terrible service, they forgot to bring the requested starters, food doesn't live up to the price charged...
Extensive wine offer, but completely out of the appropriate temperature!
I was very curious to try it but I confess that I was disappointed!
