Relaxed and nice place to have a few drinks, the sangria, which contains port wine, is highly recommended. The staff was very attentive and friendly during our stay, and our little son also felt very welcome here. The best restaurant on the river we have visited!

You can't go to Porto and not visit Sandeman!
I suggest you give yourself 1 hour to unwind at this beautiful Terrace overlooking the Douro River.
You can find historical products of Sandeman Wine House on the menu. I recommend you definitely get the Porto Tasting menu. I also really liked their White Wine Sangria.
The environment, service and experience are very elegant. Also inside is Sandeman's Wine Shop. I definitely recommend you to visit.

Der Schwachpunkt hier ist eindeutig das lustlose und völlig unmotivierte Service Personal. Niemand räumt ab, niemand trocknet die regennassen Tische und Stühle für einen ab, und ein freundliches Gesicht will auch keiner zeigen. Schade, dazu noch Selbstbedienung und Plastik Becher. Das geht an anderen Bars deutlich besser und ist Sandemann nicht würdig.

If the tables are wet and you dry them yourself and are then greeted at the counter and have to pay a lot before you get your drink and can sit down, you should actually leave straight away. Since we were waiting for a tour at Sandeman, we stayed. At least someone came and made a makeshift drying of the chair.
