Dinner on a special date, without prior booking, with high expectations. High but fair prices, taking into account the quantity, but above all the quality of the products presented. And in the month of August! Good space (it's just a shame it's not air-conditioned), family atmosphere, fast and professional service, great friendliness (any debut is a two-way study) and in the end, a more friendly farewell like come back whenever you're welcome! I advise.

Delicious food, very well plated, fresh ingredients.
Duck magret, Iberian pork with chestnut risotto and shrimp curry, all excellent

The only thing to point out is that the duck skin could have been crispier and the background music was horrible (radio)

Unfortunately, Alento will no longer be available in restaurants in Milfontes. I think they got carried away by popularity. The service is very inattentive, the restaurant is not huge and even so I didn't feel excellent attention. The food is very variable depending on the dish. The octopus is good, but we ate a grouper dish that was simply sad - it looked like a gray soup with gray fish and just a few potatoes, so it was a very uninspired dish.
The menu already deserves a review, as it is not easy to understand how each dish will be prepared.
The popularity may be high, but there is also much better in Milfontes. I no longer feel the same desire to return as I used to.

When I saw the bill for 2 people, I was going to leave a kidney!!!! They were just
€100.99!!!! Cheese, bread, 1 bottle of green wine, sea bass with sautéed vegetables, taramisu for dessert and a coffee!!!! ???
It was better to go to the seafood restaurant! Never again!

One of the best dinners we’ve had in Portugal so far!! The octopus was incredible and the duck super tender. Flavio was a generous host and the prices were more than fair

I recommend the monkfish and shrimp risotto, it was excellent, the cheeks, although the presentation is different, I've had much better, if I had stayed for the risotto they would have been 5*

We had dinner encouraged by the reviews. Absolutely overrated. The service, although friendly, was very slow, it took us almost two hours, without dessert or coffee.
The food, at least what we ordered, mediocre, especially for the price they charge. You can't serve rickety mussels for that price. The worst is the cod, dry, salty and with inedible reheated potatoes (in Portugal!)
The conclusion, either we were unlucky, (I don't think so) or there is a lot of marketing in the reviews

We had an excellent dinner for three at Alento last night. For starters, we were served Tiborna, which are baked bread small bites with olive oil and garlic - amazing - and shrimp with mussels sauce, the best sauce I remember having in Portugal so far, it was so great that we ordered more bread to do “la scarpetta” as done in Italy. For our main course we had the Porco Ibérico (iberian pork) with portuguese chestnut risotto, the Pato (duck) with mashed sweet potatoes and the great star of the night: the Tamboril (monkfish) risotto, one of the best dishes I’ve had in a restaurant in Portugal, simply delicious, harmonizing greatly with the wine served, perfect to the detail. I strongly recommend any person visiting Milfontes to try dinner at Alento. Also suggest you make a reservation - the place tends to get more crowded within time and, during summer, they only accept reservations untill 8 pm (20:00).

Vegetarian options: There is a menu “from the garden” with 2 veggie options.

I went because of the great reviews and was disappointed, average food, nothing that justifies the price. I don't recommend the white sangria and desserts at all. Confusing service, lots of employees, but walking like dizzy cockroaches. Far below the recommendations presented here.
