Place to avoid, as a Portuguese person I really don't know how they treat foreigners tourists, but the fact is that, the attendants are very poor even speaking english and native language is 0(zero).The clams we ordered only 60% of them were full, sardines, of 6 only 4 were eatable and one being rewarmed from the last service. Too expensive for all the service in general. Avoid this guys.

Skip unless everything else is closed. Really sweet spot and not crowded for a reason. Yelling from inside the restaurant - the Portuguese family at another table and I were exchanging looks of “uh oh.” Bread and cheese were meh. The beef was really tough. Pommes frites were meh. Rice was good. A large portion of soso wine. I had 2 glasses to help chew the meat. The service wasn’t bad as it was frenetic and stressful.

Meteen na binnenkomst, toen we aan tafel zaten, zette de serveerster een klein bakje olijven, een schaaltje met een paar stukjes kaas en vier sneetjes brood op tafel, zonder verdere toelichting. Wat leuk, dachten we, en wat een gastvrije ontvangst. Maar bij het weggaan blijkt dat voor deze vriendelijke ontvangst € 10 op de rekening is gezet. Dat tientje maakt ons niets uit. Als je het als horecaondernemer zo moet verdienen doe je toch iets niet goed. Kortom: wij raden deze tent niet aan.

Found the spot cause we were looking for a original Portuguese Tasca that used to be around there and as we were checking the spot the waitress came to catch us outside. We didn’t wanted to come in and we said clearly (in perfect Portuguese, I lived there for years) that we weren’t hungry and only wanted a wine and a small bite and asked (clearly and carefully) if they had petiscos/tapas, and they said yes . we agreed to enter allthough and we repeated again that we only wanted something small. but still they lied to us and just brought us two big dishes saying that it were their “small bites”, but afterwards cashing it as a very very expensive main dish. Not even we felt cheated, the quality was terrible. And also, they were closing the place fast after that, really rushing us out to leave before we had time to finish it and our wine. When I approached what I felt honestly to the service, she ignored us. It was a unpleasant experience, unnecessary way to make us trick cash and to turn a nice evening into a game of money, a revival of how and why our city’s all around and their gastronomy are losing quality. It isn’t about the tourists and travelers that are visiting,neither about the ones that live from that tourism in a responsible way, but the ones that try to take advantage in a bad way; taking any chance to take you for stupid, trying to make more money than they should, just cause they think “they can” and we “don’t know”.Their strategy is, I guess , to trick you cause you wont come back anyway, cause you are just “passing by”. Only that we do keep coming back to the city a lot and we know other amazing places and the difference to compare. I would recommend you all not to eat here if possible. There are amazing wonderful places just around real close by

Server super attentive and fast! However the food took so long. Clams were soaked in sand. We waited for over one hour for the main dish which was average. I would def avoid
The waitress was very nice but the food was really bad. Both my wife and my self got it raw inside and burnt on the outside. They blamed the grill but that is not an excuse for a professional that should be able to manage its temperature or distance from the heating source. We thought twice if we should have dinner at this place as it was empty. We made the decision to stay and we regretted.
