Fresh seafood and they'll clean it for you should you want it. Plenty of choices and good prices.
If you want fresh produce, a must
The best market to buy fresh vegetables, and the freshest fish, that make a real treat for the palate.
Fresh and good prices produce, the most of it taken from the local farms or gardens. Good vibe people, such as most of Portuguese. A nice place to go??
The freshest fish, veggies, nuts and fruits. The variety of fish is an eyeful!Be prepared to interact in Portuguese for the best experience.
Sat on a park bench talking to a very nice lady.

This is a great fish market. It also has plenty of fruits and vegetables, too. On a Wednesday in early March, there is a lot of free on-the-street parking in the area. That is likely not to be the case during the summer. Like Tavira's mercado municipal, the prices at the market in Vila Real de San Antonio have increased due to tourists, expats, and vendors taking full advantage of the increasing popularity of the eastern Algarve.
We went a little late in the day but the fish and the produce looked very good. Will definitely go back and make some purchases
We always enjoy visiting the town.
As a Monday, there was no fresh fresh in this market, very quiet with a few fresh fruit and veg stalls with mostly locally grown vegetables
There is a large selection of fresh catch fish, vegetables and fruits.
