An absolute ‘must go’ if you’re around Vila Real. The octopus was incredibly tender, the kid goat with alheira was gorgeous and the grilled mushrooms could have only been a product of witchcraft. The veal carpaccio was a star and the service impeccable.

A restaurant with a very welcoming atmosphere and different aesthetics.
We went for dinner and took advantage of the executive menu (€20) which changes every week and is available for both dinner and lunch during the week. It's so worth it!
The service was exceptional, we were attended to by Davi, who was extremely friendly and attentive.
As for the food, it was very good! We ordered the cuttlefish ink Tagliatelle with squid, it was great. But the best was the dessert, I've never had such a good panacota! Perfect balance between sweet and red fruits.
Vegetarian options: There was a Portuguese-style vegetable dish.

Want a good restaurant recommended for several years by the Michelin guide and without breaking the bank, this is the right address.
We were pleasantly surprised by the all-inclusive menu (starter, main course, dessert, still water) at €20 by the quality of the dishes and the service.
Go ahead with your eyes closed

Poor service, so-so food (cold), crazy price, both for what you eat, quality, quantity, and for the service.

A restaurant with a good atmosphere, excellent service. The only downside is that the wine is stupidly expensive, even compared to other similar restaurants.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service received on my last visit. When inquiring about the unavailability of one of the dishes, I was rudely informed that the last serving was being sold to the couple accompanying us. Initially, the employee made this comment in a way that first seemed to be joking, but then, more seriously, they indicated that I would have other options, given that the menu only offered four types of meat.
At no point did they apologize, they made different excuses and in a rude way.
Furthermore, in the most expensive option chosen, 35 euros, I only asked for fries to be added, but the dish came without the garnishes described in the menu, containing only potatoes. The meat, which was the most expensive on the menu, was served in just four small pieces, which I consider completely disproportionate to the price charged.
I've had pregos on the plate, better served and at an acceptable price.
As a result, they lost yet another group of customers, and the standard of quality and price is far from desirable.

Restaurant for a high class level, the closest to gourmet that you can find in Vila Real. Quality in dishes and wines and the price to match.
Unwelcoming atmosphere with few customers.
Parking: Lots of free seats outside the restaurant.
Wheelchair accessibility: With access for people with reduced mobility.

We are from Faro and whenever we pass through Vila Real it is a mandatory stop. We booked over the phone a few hours in advance. Great service. Excellent food, well prepared and very tasty. The queen of desserts is Pão de Ló! Unmissable!!! It has to be ordered at the beginning of the meal as it takes almost an hour to make. But it's worth it. Excellent wine list and the chef is great at advising the most appropriate wine for the meal.
Parking: Free private parking next to the restaurant entrance.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp at the entrance
