I will rate the restaurant and not the hotel. The food is just okay, the prices not too expensive but still above the Portuguese standard. The waiter/boss(?) encourages consumption and brings port and wine to the table, even after ordering and refusing. And what's more, during the bill he "made a mistake" and added 3 euros more to the bill (no paper invoice). I refused and counted again with him to get the right score. Not recommended because it is a tourist scam.
Noteworthy details: Scam tourists flee

Decent tasting food and portions however my friend and I both got severe food poisoning from what we ate or the wine we had. We both spent all night throwing up and couldn’t move at all the next day. Wish I had chosen another place.

Great place to have an authentic meal at a tremendous price. Be forewarned though, go hungry and don’t plan on eating anything other than a snack for supper. It cost 22 euros and it was well worth every cent. It’s a set menu so just enjoy yourself and watch the dishes arrive. Wine and port are included. So is dessert and coffee.

We went in for lunch... we tried the menu (alheira, ribs, goat and feijoca stew, dessert and coffee).
Pleasant surprise, a place to have homemade food at an affordable price. A familiar but professional service. Congratulations. It has to be marked as a restaurant and not just a guesthouse.Food & drinks: Restaurant with homemade food.
Very good food, rooms with views of the river and the train station, everyone was very friendly.I really liked this place for lunch, dinner and sleeping. But the last 3 times I went, they told me that I had to have lunch quickly because there were more people (people who weren't even there waiting) and, in the meantime, they were serving each dish, they told me the same, that I had to go ahead because there were more people., Even when I made a reservation for a table to be quieter, they told me that I had to eat quickly. Don't go back, I was already getting unnecessary panic attacks and anxiety. It's a shame, I really liked the place and sleeping there.

The best and most filling meal in Portugal to date! Carne focused and rustic and very authentic. Host superb. Totally recommended.

We ate lunch. They were very busy but had excellent service. We took their advice and let them bring a variety of meat dishes which were authentic, delicious, and abundant. Meal included wine and Port.
Traditional menu was great with a lot of quantity
Near train station but lovely view from our table of a vineyard. Hugh portions. We could have shared. However each dish was awesome We had the beef in red wine and Lamb dish. Delicious
