Very tasty sushi. The best sushi restaurant we have eaten at so far. Food very tasty, fresh and handmade. Attentive service and down-to-earth owners. However, we have to agree with other reviewers that the waiting time between dishes is very long. We were the only ones in the restaurant who ordered and yet it took about an hour until all the dishes were there. The waiter tried very hard, although there were a few obstacles (e.g. no chilled drink or a certain type was no longer available). Unfortunately, the bathroom was also a bit run down and very small. Nevertheless, highly recommended!

Despite some qualities, my experience was disappointing. The positive point of the night was, without a doubt, the friendliness of the waiter. He was attentive, friendly and made a point of being helpful at all times. However, the delay in service was exasperating. It seemed like each order took forever to arrive, and this ended up ruining the experience. The friendliness did not compensate for the inefficiency, and unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. I hope they improve in this aspect, as it is a place with potential.

I've scoured and read numerous comments from other places claiming it's the best sushi in Vila Real... Unfortunately, they weren't very accurate. I was advised to visit other places, which, first of all, had nothing to do with good sushi... Most likely, they received good reviews and comments due to their location and ambiance... But that doesn’t define good and original sushi!As a foreigner who's tried traditional sushi in many countries and cities worldwide, you know that if you want to experience traditional and authentic food from other countries, you need to highly consider who's cooking in the back ;)And this was the place! We arrived at this restaurant, and they had a strong Portuguese accent, which was great! A first good sign of a potentially enjoyable dining experience & full culture present!Their menu was very good, offering a lot of sushi variety, and they also had everything available (Despite other places that don’t really adhere to the original sushi concept with weird and not very tasty combinations).Their nori for the sushi was on point, everything was fresh, with veggie and vegan options!!!Their pasta was great, which really speaks to their cooking and essence being original! And traditional!Prices are very good, actually cheaper than other places in town, and their service is amazing! The owners are super friendly, super caring, and concerned about you eating well!100/10.Please, if you have never been to a sushi place before or have limited exposure to these dishes, I highly invite you to try this place because it will get you closer to the real sushi experience and Japanese food!P.S. Forgot to take pictures of the food before eating it, but here's a sample!
