My favorite restaurant in Viseu! ?
It is a hidden gem in the old streets of Viseu and, without a shadow of a doubt, deserves to be a mandatory stop for anyone who loves good food!
The food is great and at a very affordable price, something that is hard to find nowadays. On this last visit, we ate the alheira (5 ?), the seafood rice and the grilled squid. For dessert, homemade sweets, cream milk and egg pudding. All the dishes were very good and the portions were very well served.
In addition to the great food, the space is very pleasant and traditional.
Last but not least, the staff are extremely friendly and were all attentive, making our experience very pleasant.
I highly recommend you try it!

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a step at the entrance door but if you can overcome this issue, the rest of the restaurant is easily accessible by wheelchair. Even though the establishment isn't exactly ready for this (it's not very wide and there isn't much space between tables) we didn't see any major obstacles during our visit, as long as you make a little effort here and there. The chair can pass between tables and the user can easily use the bathroom alone.
The staff were also very friendly and made it easy to open the main door.

They recommended La Chanfana to me. Accept and very satisfied. Recommendable. Very traditional flavors maybe not for everyone. It was late, we entered by chance and the truth is that it was good or more than good.
