Do not order the skillet meal. Came out warm and none of the cheese was at all melted.

It took a long time to receive the meal. The kitchen was very slow in getting the meals out. The server was pleasant and efficient. It was not an enjoyable experience at this location in Anjou.

Went for breakfast with a friend. The waitress was extremely serious throught our stay. I never saw a smile or any kindness on her part. The food took very long to get to our table. I had the caramelized apple french toast. It was warm had no taste had no fruit on the side as other restaurants do. Sorry B & F my visit was a definite turn off 😔

The best Ben and Florentine, worth the detour. One of the waitresses with glasses seems to want to do too much, separating the job from the other waitresses.

Very clean, very modern, just not the best food selection for breakfast compared to other breakfast restaurants.

This restaurant is one of my favorites for lunch ?
Lots of choice.
The plates are beautiful.
The portions are generous and the food is fresh.

Dietary restrictions: There is a way to change the pancakes for buckwheat pancakes.

I visited the restaurant with 2 friends on August 30, 2024 at 11 a.m. (and they witnessed the situation):

When paying, I tapped my card on the reader, the sound signaling the validation of the transaction was heard. On the other hand, the waitress asked me to try again because the payment had not gone through, according to her. I typed again without questioning the situation. The same sound was heard. The waitress realized that she had to change the receipt paper on the debit-credit machine. Then, she handed me my receipt and we left the restaurant without any problem.

On September 1, 2024, my banking application notified me of a double transaction coming from Ben & Florentine. I quickly understood the situation — my first payment had worked.

This morning, September 3, 2024, around 9am, I went to explain the situation to the restaurant in order to potentially have a solution. The customer service from Cynthia, the waitress who took care of my request, was DISASTROUS.

-No greeting despite my good mood.

-No expression of compassion or apology for the situation despite my patience.

-No desire to want to help me (reminder that I am ALSO a customer) despite my desire to be flexible in resolving my problem.

-Cynthia spoke in English with her colleague in front of me thinking that I would not understand, and to confirm that my situation seemed "fishy" despite the presentation of my receipt and my bank statements.

-Cynthia told customers that I was wasting her time which made me extremely uncomfortable.

-Cynthia said no one could help me. No supervisor or manager.
• (So, no supervisor for a full day of service? So, who opens/closes the registers and/or counts the money for the safe?)

-Cynthia took my phone number and said I “maybe” will get a call from “someone” at 3 p.m.…
• (So, left hanging without confirmation that the restaurant will try to help me)

•• The problem: The principle of Customer Service. There is a way to greet a customer politely, listen to their requests, apologize for the service if any problem has arisen, and offer them the best resolution within our capabilities. If the situation exceeds our qualifications, referring the client to a supervisor or appropriate authority is the next step.

Cynthia's lack of respect and professionalism is shocking.

It was my first time at Ben & Florentine (Anjou), it was my LAST time.

•No, still no solution for my lost money. Yes, I contacted my bank… To be continued?

Good dishes, good service, but the one in Anjou is much better than the one in Laval...
