La Centrale is one of the best micro breweries in the region. Its atmosphere is perfect, the staff is incredible and the beer selection is varied and of high quality. Try the classic Orange Croche!
Visited on August 8, 2020, in early afternoon. Located in the downtown area near the waterfront, a few miles from the Beauharnois hydroelectric dam, it is named in honor for that historic power station. It does not have a parking space, but there is one across the street, there is a major bike route passing by. The establishment is quite simple, no special decor but there are a good amount of pictures of the power station, including one covering a wall, a nice looking patio overlooking...
Very nice little microbrewery in Beauharnois open for 5 years. A nice variety of beer. I tried a platter of 4 varieties that you choose yourself. I opted for:
-Beauharliner
-Gimme smore
-High voltage
-V16 turbine
And I wasn't disappointed at all. Finishing with the Gimme smore, I felt like I was having a dessert with its notes of vanilla and marshmallow.
The food is very good for a pub menu. Favorite for the onion soup....
