A Great smoked meat local place! From smoked meats that I have tried in both Montreal and NYC ( more of a pastrami variety) - the best to my taste. Juicy, non fatty and flavorful. I loved the salad entre and my always hungry 19 year old son loved his Garnei. The deserts, in our case carrot and chocolate cakes we also very good! A perfect place for lunch, I think! Limited experience with smoked meat restaurants, but the best that I have had to date. I thought the smoked meat club sandwich was exceptional and could have that again and again. If you have never had smoked meat sandwiches, it will remind you of a pastrami sandwich.
This restaurant was highly recommended as a place to eat smoked meat. As an American, I was expecting something different from what we got. I learned that Montreal smoked meat is much like what Americans call corned beef. It was very tasty and the portions were very generous. Staff was extra friendly.
