We were visiting Mirabel from just outside Toronto with our son’s baseball team and stopped by Carlos and Pepe’s for takeout after a long day at the diamond. Even though it was close to 9pm, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Merrick, who took our orders and made us feel right at home.
While we waited, we decided to enjoy a drink at the bar; the cocktails were delicious and the service from both Merrick and the bartender was outstanding. Merrick took the time to chat with us, learn about what brought us to Mirabel, and made the whole experience feel personal and genuine.
The restaurant itself has a beautiful Mexican vibe; tastefully decorated and spotless. Our food was carefully prepared, generously portioned, and absolutely delicious. It was exactly what we needed after a long day.
We’re from Durham Region and honestly wish a place like this existed in our community. We’d love to see Carlos and Pepe’s expand; we’d be regulars for sure! If you’re anywhere near Mirabel, do yourself a favour and check this place out. Highly recommend!

Le plus beau resto du monde entier!! Super belle accueil !! Personnel souriant et souriante !! Service impeccable !! Nos plats etaient succulent !!! (burritos à la viande et tacos au poulet) Moi et mon fils ,nous avons réellement eu un beau cou de coeur et c'était notre première fois à ce magnifique resto et sa ne sera pas la dernière ces certain!!

Carlos and Pepe definitely lost me as a customer and all my recommendations. Although I have dined several times in the branch, and also had take out for the first time, I am told that in a bowl they will load me with a change of rice for a salad. I can't eat rice so I asked to change the rice as the base in the bowl to salad.... And for the first time, they told me that it will be an extra. Definitely no accommodation for the customer, the service is not worth it. Good food, but very poor service and accommodation.

Excellent food but very loud music, you have to shout to talk to each other. Nightclub atmosphere, maybe that's why there are fewer people.
