Baton Rouge has been my go to for at least 20 years..now living in Boisbriand,i visit this location often..since there are alot of wannabies at the Faubourg ( baltazar,Vertigo to name but a few) i would say that BR is the best of the lot.Food is always served hot,service is top notch and what you see is what you get.
Of course now that their products are available in supermarkets,i wonder if the food is made to order or they use the same products sold in the markets..( which are very good i might add)
Only two bad comments:
1- Ribs are smaller then before not as large as the old baby backs in the day and to much sauce on them.( like in the supermarket ones)
2-Had the new banana cream pie..not a hit..server said it was freshly made..it was served still frozen,not creamy at all and had no banana taste..sorry
Of course i will go back it's always better then the other wannabies..
Not often do I put a review but I feel like management should definitely look into the service. I live close by and I usually go once a week since the food is good and my son (5 years old) likes it. Its been few times that i go and lately the waiters seem lost. Asked for Spoon and waited 15 mn to get it… at that point i had already finished eating with the fork… didn’t say anything.
I had to physically get up and look for my waiter to get my bill after waiting 20 mn.But yesterday was something special. Waitress seemed mad or had a bad day… felt like she didnt wanna be there. I always order the same thing for my son … but now she tells me that what i order is not possible. I was chocked ( i come weekly) she ended up accepting and advised me there is an extra fee, i said no problem. Bills comes … to my surprise charged me 2x a plate for my son for the change i asked ( which was what i always take… i asked her how thats possible, she got super mad and said ‘je fais pas les prix icite’ also put in my mind, service was slow and the main plates we had ordered were missing the sides and she seemed bothered when we asked her about it … what a bad service… we paid no problem but honestly wow!! You just lost clients.
I visited this restaurant with colleagues for a 5 à 7 and had a great time. The food was decent, the service was excellent, though the prices felt a bit high for the quality offered. Located within a commercial district in Boisbriand, it’s surrounded by plenty of stores, and there’s a large free parking lot, which is convenient. This spot is ideal for business lunches, dinners, or a casual 5 à 7.

The worst experience I have ever had in terms of customer service, to the point that the owner started arguing with me due to poor logistics on his part and challenging me to publish my experience on social media. I asked the mothers if you would let them put their children between 8 and 9 years old on the other side of the restaurant alone...? I found it absolutely ridiculous. We had to leave with 6 children and 14 adults to wander around another restaurant. absolutely lack of professionalism, no intention of wanting to solve the problem and a very aggressive and disrespectful treatment on the part of the said owner, about your answer.
what can we do with such good food when the customer service is terrible and I'm not talking about the waiters but rather the manager of the establishment, thanks to your unprofessionalism we found a top 1 restaurant across the street ZIBO I recommend excellent food and customer service client A1.

A Birthday Ruined by Poor Management and Terrible Customer Service. ?
I booked at Baton Rouge two weeks in advance to celebrate a friend’s birthday with a group of 12 people and 5 children. Since the system only allowed reservations for up to 8 people, I followed their guidelines and made two separate reservations, both confirmed without issue.
Upon arrival, we were denied entry because both reservations were made with the same email address. Shouldn’t a restaurant that values its customers anticipate situations like this and offer real solutions? The only ‘solution’ offered was a table for 8 people and another table for 3 children in a separate area. How do they expect a birthday celebration to be split like that?
I explained to the person who introduced himself as the owner that, in my email, I had clearly noted that the two tables were part of the same reservation. His response? That I should have called. Why allow email reservations if vital details like these are ignored?
We tried to reason with him, but his response remained cold and lacking empathy. To make matters worse, instead of offering any genuine assistance, he simply said, ‘I can’t do anything more. You messed up, we messed up… and sorry, I have more customers.’ Is this the kind of treatment to expect from a restaurant that prides itself on service? Is this how customer relationships are handled on special occasions?
We were forced to leave with the kids in the chilly autumn night, desperately looking for another place to dine. This experience not only ruined our celebration but also left us wondering: is this how Baton Rouge values its customers? The lack of organization, the dismissive response, and the complete lack of empathy were shocking.
I would not recommend Baton Rouge to anyone who values good treatment and respect on important occasions. What’s the worth of a restaurant that only sees its customers as just another number??

It was a good surprise! The atmosphere is very comfortable - which I could not guess from outside. I felt I could stay there for hours. Great for a friends gathering, btw!
Staff is bilingual, cordial, and fairly quick.
Excellent choices of drinks and coffee. And on the food menu, there's something for every taste. I ordered the surf and turf with fries and a side of mac and cheese. The latter was great, very well prepared. The main dish, although tasting really good, disappointed me regarding the size. Looked way bigger in the menu.
Fries were really good, too.
I also ordered a Bailey's coffee at the end, and it was fantastic ?

Went there for supper with my son. Service was good. We got our food within 15 minutes of sitting down. But the food had no taste. I ordered the chicken tender plate and my tenders were so small they looked like chicken nuggets. No chicken inside just breading. My son ordered the chicken and ribs plate and his ribs were dry and there was no chicken in the tenders. Not worth $80. Would not recommend this restaurant.
