August 15th, 2025 four of us went to the Kano for supper. It was absolutely amazing, beautifully prepared, an excellent supper 10/10. The cooks and the waitresses/waiter were A1. I highly recommend the Kano. Ethel and Lloyd Ward and family.

We had a very bad experience with the service.... the waitress (karen) took a long time to come and get our order....She never came back to offer more refilled coffee..
The other waitress was attentive , she always refilled the coffee, and she picked up the plates.. she always asked if everything was good.
It took a while for our waitress to bring our bill. Very slow service.
Don't get the Gaspesian chowder. It's a meal but you're going to have 1 cup of broth with 2 mussels, 2 scallops and some mini shrimp which looks suspiciously like the dried shrimp I gave to my turtles. Really very, very disappointing. To apologize they offered me dessert but it was too little for a dish costing $26 but which must have cost $2 for ingredients. I'm not sure if I'll come back. On the other hand, the children liked the pizza which was $24.
This was the only restaurant open on a Monday night in the city, and it turned out to be a great find. We ordered the fish and chips, along with the shrimp and vegetable linguine. Both dishes were delicious, with generous portion sizes that left us fully satisfied.
Really excellent food, we ate well, generous portions with a magnificent view.
On the other hand, the service is more than disappointing. The staff did their best and were courteous, but Lots of waiting, waiting to get the table even with reservation, waiting for glasses of water, waiting to order, waiting to get drinks, waiting for bills. A lot of people were leaving frustrated
We recommend: flank steak, lobster club, chowder, crab cake, squid even pizza! Diversified and adapted children's menu.

J'ai récemment dßné au restaurant Kano et je tenais à partager mon expérience exceptionnelle. La qualité de la nourriture était tout simplement remarquable : chaque plat était savoureux et préparé avec soin. De plus, le service était au-delà de mes attentes, avec un personnel attentif et chaleureux. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant!

We ate at this restaurant 4 times, twice for breakfast and twice for dinner. During our dinner we were served by VĂ©ronique, a native of Bonaventure, who treated us like kings. Sparkling and warm, it contributed to our high percentage of appreciation. The spinach salad with cashews and berries, the scallops, the flank steak... everything was succulent. Prices are high but usual for tourist places.
