Very good food and presentation. Definitely a must try if you're in the region!
Unfortunately, we had a couple hiccups with the service. But they were very accommodating. Would definitely still recommend.

We were really looking forward to dining here during our cottage trip, but unfortunately the experience missed the mark. My husband’s lamb was so overcooked it was hard to identify the animal, and we had to send it back. My steak was undercooked by what seemed like at least 15 degrees. Normally that might not matter much, but being pregnant, it was an important detail I had clearly specified.
The seasoning was heavy across the board. Everything was very salty. Service was quite slow, and the whole meal felt more like a catered event where 200 plates are rushed out at once rather than a relaxed, thoughtfully prepared dinner. It all tasted a bit cheap and pre-prepared.
I won’t go into too much detail about the kids’ menu, but think freezer meal for twenty dollars.
No effort was made to offer a comp or even an apology, which was disappointing. We understand this is a small seasonal restaurant and perhaps they were having an off night, but that doesn’t change the fact that we left with a three hundred dollar bill with no alcohol. The quality just didn’t reflect the price.
This isn’t meant to be harsh or unkind. We know how much effort goes into running a seasonal restaurant like this. But when you’re paying upwards of three hundred dollars for a meal, it’s fair to expect a certain level of quality, and it’s fair to share that experience.
The setting is nice and we hope things smooth out as the season goes on.
Absolutely a wonderful experience. Staff was great and very personable. The food was fabulous. There was a small bowl on each table with different types of olives and fermented carrots. Also a small bowl of butter balls. Nice touch. It's nice to have butter you can spread when you receive fresh bread. We had the table d'hote 4 Services. I had the entre of the moment (muscles in blue cheese sauce) muscles were plump and delicious. I used bread to sop up the sauce as it was so good. Hubby had the oysters. The sauce which accompanied them was spectacular. We had cauliflower soup which was rich and delicious. Main: hubby had seafood Alfredo. The scallops were plump and large. shrimps had the tail on, which hubby wasn't too fond of and largen chunks of lobster. He said the sauce was very rich and tasty. I had the panko crusted lamb with porto and cognac sauce I believe. OMG. Cooked to perfection of medium rare. The vegetable sides were delicious and very well presented...very fancy. They added edible flowers, pansies, chive blossoms, and long yellow flower petals (not sure what plant, but delicious). We were so excited with the mains we forgot to take pictures. We had creme brulé for dessert. Wow. Nicely done chef. We drove an hour to come here for our anniversary. We will definitely be back with some friends. Bravo L'huile d'olive. We also go to their shop in Maniwaki. Their chicken mushroom truffle soup is to die for as well as many other good food options. This is why we decided to take the trip to the restaurant. Well worth every penny. Thank you for the beautiful experience.
It was a very pleasant dining experience. We had the filet mignon and the cooking and seasoning were perfect.
We were also shown around the wine cellar. And what a wine cellar, WOW! We recommend the Olive Oil Test to everyone!
Happy holiday season!
This was our second time visiting and they knocked it out of the park both times, I highly recommend. The food is amazing and well presented, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The staff were great, very attentive, friendly and quick with our orders. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere with beautiful a view during the day. Well worth the drive.

Super nice experience. The food and service were of high quality. I like the idea of choosing your bottle of wine from the cellar with the assistance of the chef. Congratulations for the excellent work.
