We reserved days in advance for a small group (9) but were seated at tables designed for six with myself given a place with my plate straddling the crack between two tables. Arriving at 5:30 nobody asked if we wanted drinks, taking 15 minutes to bring water. The salads were good but the bread was served with what tasted like margarine (!) and one of our party had her order forgotten and wasn't served until we were almost done. A number of us had veal or chicken parmagiana which was soggy and drowned in non-descript tomato sauce with no detectable parmesan. Several didn't eat more than half of it and declined an offer to take the rest home. The menu doesn't have any lighter choices or options other than pasta as a side. The place was very busy by the time we left but we won't be going back.

Pasta was not fully cooked, kids didn't like it. Lots of wasted food. Servers were way too busy, short staff.

The Food was decent but the service could be better . This would make the dining experience better

Our waiter did his best but was running the whole time trying to keep up. This led to slow service. We ended up cancelling dessert because we could not wait any longer. Tipped the server well because it was not his fault that he had far too many tables. The food was bland and cold.

fantastic as usual. Love the whole options, like soup or salad + the bread. Favorite restaurant!

We were 5 and had to wait an hour before getting served. The waiters were lost and constantly switching. They were clearly making up excuses every time they made us wait but atleast they were kind. On top of it all, the food was extremely bland and not at all restaurant quality, not all of it is bad as the others at my table had great meals tho.

A masterclass in how not to run a restaurant.

We arrived at 6:30 on a Saturday night without a reservation and were seated quickly. That was the only thing that went smoothly.
Then came the waiting game. Forty minutes passed before anyone brought menus or acknowledged us. I started noticing something odd—no one around us had food. It felt more like a holding area than a dining room.

When the waiter finally showed up, we ordered a 4-meat pizza, chicken and shrimp scampi, a Brio, and a Corona Cero. He came by after a good 30-40 minutes to tell us the shrimp might take a while. Apparently, they were catching them fresh.

The food arrived just before 8pm. My pizza looked like it had been ready for ages—dry, barely warm, and the crust? Pure white bread. Not pizza dough. Not even close. It tasted like someone tried to recreate pizza based on a vague description and a blurry photo.

My girlfriend’s scampi didn’t fare much better. She said the sauce was “unusual,” to put it nicely, ate most but left half of the chicken, and asked for a takeout box. The waiter dropped a plastic container on the table and walked off. No offer to pack it up—apparently, that’s now a DIY task. Isn't that why we tip?

To top it off, the $3.99 Corona Cero was listed as a $5.49 Becks s/a on the bill. I didn’t bother arguing. The waiter never came back for the card machine anyway—I paid and left, just glad it was over.

Now, to be fair: the staff on hand seemed to be doing their best. But it was painfully obvious they were understaffed for such a busy night, and the whole experience suffered because of it.
This wasn’t my first visit, but it will absolutely be my last. If you’re in the mood for long waits, dry pizza, and DIY leftovers, this place has you covered.

Arrived at the restaurant and was told there was no place and there was a waiting period of 1.5 hours.
I was told that if I had a reservation it would be different.
I got turned around although I saw empty tables
I went online and saw reservations within 15 minutes of my original arrival.
I decided to leave as I found this incredibly disrespectful and distasteful
Maybe if I was a native French speaker the story would be different

We have been clients of this East Side Mario's for years and lately we noticed the service getting slower and slower, but last time we went (September 19) it was worse then ever. We had a reservation for 5 at 7:15 pm and arrived a bit earlier. There was only 1 family of 3 in front of us waiting to be seated and multiple empty tables. It took at least 15 minutes for the hostess to even acknowledge us and then another 10 minutes to get seated, the hostess was unfriendly and extremely slow. Once we finally got to our table it took at least another 20 minutes before someone came to our table. During those 20 minutes, we asked the hostess if a server was assigned to our table because no one had even greeted us even though multiple servers passed by and the restaurant was not even that full and she responded very rudely that "the restaurant is busy" and we also flagged another server that was at the table next to us and he just waved us and left. To be honest, we were ready to leave by then and simply grab McDonald's because the kids and us were getting imaptient. Just when we were getting our stuff to leave, a server finally came to our table and apologized profusely for the lack of service we received so far and confirmed she will be serving us even if this wasn't even her section. She offered an amazing service and I wish I had gotten her name to thank her here because she is the only reason we stayed. Overall a very bad experience, very disappointed considering how much the prices increased in the last few years, yet the overall experience is just getting worse. When you offer customer service, you should make sure the people you hire can actually offer a good service to your customers otherwise those customers will just stop coming.

The service was aweful. We waited 2.5 hrs and didn’t get our order. Six families ate and left while we waited. They offered 50-% off to take the food home.

Been at the restaurant for 2½ hours and never got my food, complained and got 50% off. Wasn't even hungry after all the beer.
