I have always loved Jack Salon. For years, I used to go at least twice a week. It is a very special place for us—we used to go when we were dating, and now we are married. The music, the food, and the cocktails have always been amazing, which is why it was one of our favorite spots.
Unfortunately, this past Saturday we had the worst customer service experience of our lives.
We arrived around 9:45 p.m. Everything was normal at first. We sat at a table next to the restroom, and we were kindly told that the table would be removed later so we could dance, which was totally fine. Our server took our order, and a staff member removed the table—everything was smooth and friendly, just like the service used to be.
After that, my husband and I went to sit at the bar, where there were four available seats. Our server kindly served us our cocktails, but a bartender (a woman with black hair, glasses, and a tank top) told us three times that we had to leave the bar stools because they were reserved only for customers ordering directly from her or her coworker. We explained our situation, but she still insisted that we move.
I want to point out that there were two additional empty seats, and no one was waiting in line to order. Despite this, her attitude was uncomfortable and humiliating. We became very upset and decided to leave. Our friends, who were about to arrive, met us at another bar where we spent the rest of the night.
Normally, a couple does not just order one round of drinks, and we had no idea that the bar stools were supposedly “reserved.” What is most disappointing is that this situation completely ruined our experience. My husband is still upset, and tomorrow he does not want to go back because of the way this person treated and humiliated him. Honestly, we feel like we may never return.
My concern is: how many other customers has this employee treated this way? I am speaking up because I also work in customer service, I was manager of a hotel, and this kind of behavior seriously affects the guest experience. We have traveled extensively, and something like this has never happened to us. It was truly degrading.
I genuinely value the place and its concept, I am not lowering the overall rating due to one bad employee. Overall, the place is great—although, sadly, this experience has left us feeling like we may never go back.

The server was nice but the food was terrible. We ordered the burger which came with a side of fries & small coleslaw. The burger tasted like a frozen patty & the fries were also the frozen type. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Worst experience and never going back ever. We got ourselves a table close to the band, we ordered food, after the musician finished, the owner asked as to find another table because they will remove all the tables for the dance floor, believe me we found ourselfs standing with food in our hands and we coudn't find any place to sit to eat our food, we found a place at the bar, they told us it's reserved. We litterally ate standing and we paid an left. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

$15 for a pint of stella ( before tax and tip) on saturday afternoon and $9 for sweet potato fries ( small portion). Cmon. Never seen that before. A bit ridiculous. Fish tacos were pretty good and decent value at least.

Don't waste your time here, there are much better restaurant options at the Quartier 10/30.

Alcohol content is barely minimum for the exorbitant cost of watered-down drinks. The food is disgusting. Dinners that are supposed to come with Cole slaw on the side simply don't. Waiter mentions that they are out of Cole slaw - but only after being asked about it. No offer to replace it with a side salad or even comping that portion of the meal. Don't order the Fish & Chips. The fish was left in the fryer way too long and the batter was dark from using the same oil all day - as well as rubbery from overcooking same.

The worst part of this experience is having to pay for overpriced bad food and drinks. Never again.
