We went to Niji for the first time for my wife’s birthday dinner. Delighted by the decor when we walked in until they sat us at the table right by the door. The service proceeded awkwardly with multiple staff coming to ask us for the same drink order. From there the meal started and things improved. The food was delicious. Things really feel apart at our last dish. We’d waited for half an hour and one woman actually came to clear our plates when we communicated we were still waiting for the ‘hot kiss’. I think they simply forgot. It took another 20 minutes to get the dish. Again could have been fine and recoverable, but we had to ask for our bill 3 times over the next half hour before we could finally leave. I will try other sushi restaurants in the area before going back.

Overall it was… just okay. The place itself is really nice – you can tell you’re mostly paying for the vibe and the look of the restaurant. However, the sushi didn’t live up to the price. The rice was very mushy and I’ve definitely had better sushi elsewhere for a lot less.
On the positive side, the service was really good. It was a bit slow, but we were a big group so I wasn’t expecting lightning speed, and the staff was attentive and friendly.
In the end, I’d say: come for the ambiance if that’s what you’re looking for, but if you’re going mainly for great sushi, I’d probably pass and try somewhere else next time.

Amazing taste and freshness. Great attentive service. We had a wide variety of a la carte sushi and sashimi. Wine by the glass that was decent-where often lacks quality when ordered this way. We ended with Ferrero Rocher chocolate cake and had a great evening. We picked your restaurant based on online reviews and are glad that we did.
Aside from being slow and over priced for no reason, saw a manager mistreat a hostess ! he was so cheap and she was silent for nothing she did but talking to him with a smile . i will never go again or support such cheap people

It’s unfortunate the quality of the food has decreased since it has a new owner. I was very disappointed with it. Service was nice. Food was disappointing for de price we paid. Very expensive for regular sushi. 😞

Missed the mark on base expectations.
This place took « modern » too far and didn’t get important components of sushi right. The rice was cold and hard, the sashimi was overcomplicated with sauce and the tempura wasn’t crispy. It was a beautiful restaurant and the server was nice. But we were one of the first tables there and our food came out very slowly. Not worth the spend in my opinion.
