Very authentic and flavorful. We would love to have something similar in Griffintown.

In the Portobello Square food court, the establishment is now called El rinconcito de los tacos. We try to find our way in the large number of dishes displayed in different ways, most of them with a photo and a Spanish name, sometimes with a price, without any other explanation. We ask for suggestions, to no avail. Various colorful bottles contain unidentified condiments. We have to use them ourselves after finding the tacos we ordered dry. The soup was good. I notice the inscription “ALL TAX INCLUDED”. However, I was made to pay taxes in addition to the price of each dish. When I ask the young clerk for explanations, he no longer seems to understand French.

Food court resto.
8 small tacos and a drink in a mug cost me almost 40$.
Tastes are good but can be a bite dry.

Restaurantji Recommends
I liked the food, it lacks a little more punch in the flavors But it's not bad, the atmosphere of the place is not so good, it is a food court.

I just bought a tamale and it's completely expired. I have tried several dishes since the restaurant opened. Some dishes are good, but the care taken in hygiene and checking of their products is harmful. I fell ill because of their negligence. I stopped going to the restaurant because the sauces I tried were stale and smelled bad. Managers are not paying attention and are not interested in improving their quality control practices. It is sad to taste a typical dish from my country, made by Mexican hands, which is damaged by poor hygiene practices. Some dishes are good, but it is unclear if they are reheated from several days of almost expired produce. I won't go back there.

I was a little skeptical when my partner told me about the restaurant that was in Portobello Square, but I finally reluctantly agreed! What a great discovery, I recommend 100%. Only downside: the portions are a little small for big eaters, but otherwise it's perfect ??

Great discovery. The owner is super friendly. We feel that the dishes are made with love. It feels good to find a real Mexican restaurant. Plus it’s not expensive!
