The rice had too strong of vinegar taste, and many of the rolls had a generic spicy mayonnaise which overpowered the fish. I did not have any of the cooked foods, but I would not order sushi from here again.

If you are looking to get great sushi, no nonsense and no small chit chat from its wait staff, this is the place for you. The place is jam packed with patrons when we got there on a weekend at 6 p.m. The smart thing to do is make reservations ahead of time and you can access that through their web site. No reservations would result in a long wait.
We were seated immediately when we got in on the dot. The menu is extensive and the prices are reasonable. We opted to add the extra add-on to the entree for an additional $9.00. The add-on menu comes with a salad of your choice, an appetizer of your choice, and dessert after your entree is served.
The sunomono salad is lovely and the miso soup is silky and delicious. We tried the agedashi tofu, the vegetable tempura, and the croquette. We had initially wanted to try the pork and shrimp spring roll but they were sold out. Not disappointing as the other appetizers are delicious and in generous portions.
The chirashi bowls are beautifully presented and the selection of fish is very fresh. The sushi platter is also very nicely displayed and scrumptious.
We ended our meals with ice-cream.
Definitely worth another visit since the food quality is wonderful. The wait staff could be a tad friendlier but understandable that they just want the customers to just eat and go. Go check them out.

Wanted to try the katsu curry and I wouldn't recommended it, at least not the porc. The only thing that saves this dishe was the rice and curry itself. The porc was overcooked and really hars to chew and the breadcrumbs wasn't staying on the meat.

Customer service needs to be improved in this restaurant. Upon arrival, it took 5 minutes to be greeted by a server who asked if we had made a reservation. When we said no reservation, she told us that we had to wait for 30 minutes or longer. Then we decided to order a takeout of sushi and maki combo for 2 people. Food was nothing special, just ordinary. There are better places to eat good quality sushi in Montreal.
Very bad service, we are standing in the front door for 5-10 min (table was available all time) even tho the waiter see us and we have eye contact and she just run to the back and stand in the kitchen doing nothing. Waiters doesnt seem to know whats the priority. Settling the customer first to avoid blocking the front door is it common sense? This is not the first time that happens. It takes forever to come take the order. All i can say is the food is not bad

We were excited to try this place considering how busy they are and how good are their reviews. Unfortunately, we understand it can be busy, but waiting for more than an hour for our food just to be tasteless is not normal. Not to forget to mention that the server didn’t serve us any water. Please dont take in customers if its for making them wait for hours.
The only positive point was that we get to bond with the table sitting next to us on how ridiculously slow the service was!

Really really good! Great ambiance and great service. I would return anytime.
Make sure you make a reservation before going!!!
Edit : still a superb restaurant.
Edit 2025: I love this restaurant! The sashimi are delicious!
Overall, it was okay, nothing surprising or special. Their katsudon was bland, and they asked if we wanted ice cream without mentioning that it came with an extra charge ($4 each, we only found out when we saw the bill)... Pretty disappointing!

Lovely little place. Authentic Japanese. Keep it up
Great authentic Japanese food. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve been there many times and I’ve never been disappointed!
Best sushi ever
Best sushi spot
