Very nice dinner, I was pleased with the Pork Cheek, delicious sauce. Two salmon tartare, maple, excellent, just a little too cold.

I will NEVER attend Faimfino restaurant again. I just had a horrible experience there when I went with my colleagues for a holiday staff party. Our waiter, probably in his 20s (am not mentioning his name out of respect and privacy considerations), was rude to us from the start. We were not greeted with any smiles or introducing of himself. Instead it seemed from the beginning that we were an inconvenience. The evening got progressively worse. The waiter was annoyed that we could not hear what he was saying, so instead of going to each individual to offer pepper or cheese, he said it from the top of the table and that was it. When a colleague asked for some pepper he got annoyed and said "I already offered it to you and you didn't say anything". Well that would be because he was not heard. We had brought some gifts for exchange and had put them by the side of the wall at the back of the room. Instead of asking us to move them, he started kicking them, and our handbags as he went by. He did not communicate to us or ask us to move them (although there was nowhere else to put them) and just continued to kick them more aggressively. To top it off, when I called the owner a couple days later to discuss the aggressive and rude behaviour, the owner completely defended his waiter and could have cared less that we were all very disapointed with the service. Several colleagues of mine were so upset that they decided to leave minimal tip at the time. The owner complained that we were rude and that we didn't leave a tip. This was obviously because the waiter had been so rude to us. Had the service been positive and respectful we would have tipped generously as we typically do. I had previously attended this restaurant with my family on other occasions but due to this bad service will never attend again. There are now 16 of us who are so upset by the rude service that we will never attend with our families and if you think we will ever encourage people to eat there again you've got another thing coming. Shame on the owner for not taking some ownership and for apologizing on behalf of the waiter. I cannot understand how a business owner absolutely does not care that his restaurant offered us such a bad experience. He did not wish to hear anything we had to say and in the end hung up saying that he was busy and had to go. Very disappointing. Never again.

Awful customer service from the waiter and owner :(Unfortunately, the service we experienced at Faimfino was one of the worst experiences we've had at a restaurant. We were a big group in a more secluded area of the restaurant for a holiday party. From the moment we walked in, the waiter did not smile to us. We had some gift exchange bags and we were asked to place them on the floor which was not an issue. However, throughout the evening, the waiter was becoming more upset with the table because the far end of the table had difficulty hearing him speak (which is normal in a big group).Since he was getting frustrated, he began aggressively kicking our purses and bags behind the table in an attempt to make room to serve us (our bags were along the wall and not in the way, it was on purpose). It was very disrespectful. Once he was asked to stop kicking our belongings, he replied rudely by commenting how upset he was that we asked him for parmasan when he previously offered some which no one heard. The next week, we called the owner to inform him of this service and we got NO APOLOGY. He did not care that we experienced this service at his restaurant and was very disrespectful, and cutting us off while speaking. We were basically told that he doesn't care about that we received awful service that night. We are very disappointed with this experience and will not be returning to Faimfino.

This is the second time that we, 16 elementary teachers, have gone there for our Christmas party. The food was good as usual however, to our great dismay, the service was HORRIBLE! From the get-go, the waiter was unwelcoming. We asked for another small table to place our exchange gifts but he said there was none. OK. So we placed them, along with our purses, on the floor behind our chairs. He never smiled, never introduced himself, never welcomed us but yelled across a 16 person table to inform us where the menu was written on the wall. When we asked questions , no sign of warmth, just pointed to the wall in frustration. Same for our drink orders. The worst part was him purposefully kicking our gifts and purses as he served us. He never asked us if we wanted more wine, water, milled pepper or parmesan on our food. He was never around for us to ask for those missing items. We felt that we were bothersome to him. Yes, we were loud and laughing, but we were having a party.... nothing barbaric ! When someone asked him if he was annoyed with us, he did not deny it and said "Well, no one is listening to me!". He ranted and argued his point. We told him that we did not hear him even if he was yelling from the other end of the long table. (Not proper service etiquette anyway). To top the evening, when we spoke to the owner on the phone about our experience, he defended his waiter, not listening to our point of view in any way. In my opinion, not a very wise business strategy. He kept talking above us. He said that we were disrespectful and that, as teachers, we should know better! He continued saying that leaving a 3$ tip was disrespectful. We tried to explain that giving a tip is reflective of the service and not a given. He then said he had no time for this and hung up on us. Rest assured, due to their hick-ville attitude, sixteen people and their social connections will no longer be paying patronage to this establishment.
