My husband and I had supper there last night and we were seated at the benches facing a black chalkboard which was surrounded by cobwebs. We were asked if it was our first time there, we said yes, and we were mentioned their specialty, steak and seafood. We were not informed about a table hote, I only heard about it from another waiter with other customers. Lets start with the water that tasted terrible. My husband ordered the chicken burger with a salad. The chicken, was dry, hard, dark colored and the salad dressing was really sweet. I ordered the butterfly shrimp with the fries. The shrimp tasted freezer burnt and I had trouble taking them off the tale part, I had no garlic in my butter and my fries were warm and dry. Our supper was inedible but we ate it because we were hungry and we had an appointment afterwards. Having to pay over $100 for this meal and we weren't offered any rebate of any kind was disgusting and disappointing taking our money for this service.

Unexpected gem — great steakhouse with lots of cuts and types of beef, perfectly cooked and delicious sides & sauces!

The french onion soup was great, so was the crab cake. Both for starter. We had the ribs and a burger, both very good. Highlight was the carrot cake. Our server was kind and felt very genuine. Kids menu is a good portion for a good price as well.

The dishes my husband and I had were delightful, packed with flavors! The portions were also very generous and the plating was pleasing.
Definitely will be going back!

Good service, nice restaurant, too pricey for the portions you get. Not worth it.
Delicious food and drinks 👌🏽 the only downside is the bad service. It took them 50 minutes to serve our food....

I recently dined and was hoping for a memorable meal, but unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite. The food was, frankly, disappointing. Every dish I tried was dry and lacked any real flavor or freshness. It was as if the kitchen had lost its passion—what should have been a comforting or exciting meal felt really sad and uninspired.

Our experience at La Cochonne Rit was a letdown from the start. The manager who greeted us was cold and unpleasant, and the service only went downhill from there. We ordered a medium rare steak and were served one completely well done. When we pointed it out, both the waiter and manager argued with us instead of simply owning the mistake — no apology, just attitude.
The food was mediocre at best, especially for the price, and the noise level was unbearable. It felt more like a Baton Rouge than a quality dining experience.
