Whenever I visit my mother in Côte Saint-Luc, I stop by Maxies to buy a few containers of chicken soup or matzo soup, and sometimes bread or other baked goods. I really appreciate how hard-working the older gentleman (and I presume owner) is behind the counter. He's welcoming and friendly. I'm always happy to support this local business.
Wonderful baked goods and soup. We’ve been regular customers for many years.
I went at 9:45am this morning, June 14 2020 during the Covid Pandemic when it is mandatory for people in Cote St .Luc, to wear masks especially in the mall. The older lady, I will assume, the mother of the owner, served me. She had no mask on, no gloves on and was handling food and money. I explained to her that she should be wearing the above but she had excuses she had just come in, she is not breathing directly on the food, etc.I believe this is totally unacceptable and unfortunately, this is not the first time.
Potato knishes and pastry were stale
Poor service from owner, he even wanted to add an extra 25 cents because I asked for hot sauce in my empanada.
I got what I wanted and the foid was good

The fresh baked cookies have been a family favourite growing up. Every time I’m in town, I must get a box
