This is a lovely little restaurant located on the shore of a lake in Cowansville. The town itself is beautiful with its gardens and historical buildings lining the main street. It is well worth taking a a stroll down the street after your meal. We stopped in here for lunch on a late-July day. The parking lot and restaurant are small. You enter, read the menu, and order at the register. They prepare your meal and deliver it to your table. Note that this place is vegan, but they do have meat dishes for those who want them. We stayed with the vegan and ordered the gallette betterave (beet) burgers and the soup of the day. For desert, I ordered a seasoned cranberry bar. We chose to sit out in chairs at the lake shore and you should too if the weather is good. The view was very nice and the late-July weather was near perfect for us. Our food arrived in waves and we enjoyed our soup and then our red beet burgers. Everything was great, but the iced tea was especially flavorful. The cranberry bar was a bit crumbly, but still very flavorful. If there was any negative to the experience, it was the temperature of the veggie burger. Those were stored frozen and ours was not heated all the way through. Still, the taste was great and we enjoyed them. We definitely plan to return to this place.

We drove 2hours and it was closed and their website said it was open!!! I learned by someone in town they were closed for the day! They DON’T update their website, that says it ALL!!!! Extremely extremely disappointed !!!!

The tagliatelle was outstanding. Menu is seasonal and keeps changing. The lady taking our order was very sweet and her drink recommendation was spot on - tried the l’herbace. This place was amazing. Took a day trip into Canada just for a change of scenery and had happened upon the restaurant online. The food was spectacular - fresh, delicious and creative. We sat overlooking a lake/river and it was all wonderful.

Bar none, some of the best food in the province. If you drove from Montreal just to pick up food here, drove all the way back, after you were done eating you would say "hands down, that was worth it".Absolutely no idea at all what those 1 star reviews are smoking.
