I asked if they were home fries. The lady told me yes. But my poutine wasn't made with home fries.I had the poutine (the boss) it is good but... the sauce a little too liquid and the fries were slightly undercooked and not home fries.

You want what you pay for, this is the place to stop for the full meal. Example, the pennies are so full that you have difficulty eating anything else. The pizza is great though, if you ask for a poutine, you have to specify not to put a ton of sauce because it's too much. I asked not to put too much but the fries were swimming in the sauce but it's a restaurant that I recommend.

I write a great deal on Trip Advisor because, frankly, I use this system a lot to go for good meals and stay in fine accommodation. It saddens me therefore that the last review forRestaurant Du Fleuve was made over six years ago! Time to rectify this. Our drive out from Quebec today took us in the Montreal direction down the ‘motorway’ or A40 main road. But we returned along the other side of the St Lawrence River on a minor road, the 132 hugging the south side of the river. Again I shall emphasise that the various villages stand testament to what a culinary vacuum this country is, until we got here. Admittedly we stopped for just an afternoon snack but the food was good and wholesome and with superb flavour. Cooked to order and totally fresh I had an amazing steak sandwich that filled me so I really could not each much more for the rest of today. That is the picture I enclose. Take a drive out of town and come here, and please do a review before 2029 ! You will not be disappointed. I bet you will not even need to book in advance!
