A Chows customer since June of 1985.
Tonight was the last meal I will ever order from this restaurant. Delivery took 70+ mins and I have never been served a more disgusting meal in my life.
Everything was absolutely disgusting.
- verge-of-rotten vegetables in the Kung Pow (gross)
- pre mixed Hot and Sour soup with constancy of 2 day old gravy
- cold / half cooked grocery store egg rolls
$40 and 90% of it went directly into the garbage
I've always enjoyed the food in the past, which is why this was such a letdown. Never ordering again, that is certain.

We did take out tonight, was so looking forward to the meal. We were horribly disappointed, food was terrible. Egg rolls were super salty, chicken was so tough and all the rest of the meal was tasteless. Got to find another restaurant unfortunately.

The info regarding the delivery was good, including the chow mein and eggrolls - however - spending almost $5 on the hot and sour soup was a waste of good money spent. I do not comment on this lightly since I read the reviews about this place before placing an order - but - as the other review shared - this soup left me without a choice - it WAS brown sludge. The little bit of flavour it had didn't overcome the look - with extremely little tofu, or anything that could be identifiable as real food - which, I can honestly say I've never ever seen before. It was spicy - just not appetizing at all.
I have no idea who thinks this is soup, let alone hot and sour soup.
I was really looking forward to having this and helping me eat something while dealing with the end of a flu - but - I read the review and was warned. Too bad. Truly wanted this to be another option for Canadian Chinese food - lesson learned. It's not affordable if the 'food' isn't good. Again - Chow Mein and eggrolls were both good - thankfully. Shame....first and last time I'll be ordering from Chow's - sigh...

Been getting food from Chow's Restaurant for many years. They've only offered takeout for the last few years and you can go inside and order at the side of the building (or call ahead). The General Tao chicken, vegetables, and fried rice are always delicious and fresh.

This is their fried rice. Taste more like soya sauce on steamed rice. Enough said

We made a very last minute takeout order (at around 9:10 pm) and the woman who answered the phone couldn’t have been kinder. She made sure the kitchen would make our order and made sure we knew where we were heading. We got the Full Course Dinner No. 4 for two people. This included egg rolls, chicken chow mein, pineapple chicken, garlic spareribs, and chicken fried rice. This was PLENTY of food for two people. And everything was delicious! This is different than the Chinese food we are used to back in the states, but we enjoyed everything. My husband would especially like to shout out the chow mein - he said it was top notch. Definitely worth a stop if only to support the obviously wonderful people who run this spot.

Chow's Restaurant offers a menu of classic and affordable Chinese food in Montreal. The portions are healthy and their order online service is fast and friendly as usual.

We had a layover so ordered take out since delivery is available to Sheraton. We would not recommend ordering from here. I'm very disappointed with house special fried rice. Hot and sour soup has a color of motor oil! Chow mein I guess was swallowlble according to my wife.
