Living in the dorval mall area, there is not many (halal) shish taouk options that are actually made fresh and yummy. Son/father duo who run the place are super kind and offer good food and service. Do not be afraid of the small/random location - food is yummy!

I know many won't see this but if you do, beware. I witnessed the most disgusting thing in the men's washroom right next to the restaurant. A bearded man in his 50s with glasses on came into the washroom behind me into a totally empty washroom and chose the urinal right next to me. I thought maybe he was going to make a pass at me or something, as that was extremely weird considering I was on the end, but he proceeded to spend 60 - 90 seconds vigorously paper toweling his member. No shame. I think he rubbed some soap on it as I smelled soap. Disgusted, I left the washroom only to see the same man go right into the stockroom of this restaurant. Absolutely vile. Not sure if it's an owner, employee or friend of an employee, but if you choose to eat there you put your health at risk. It's a biohazard. I saw him earlier scoot down the hall, maybe he came back from some lunch delight, that or just unclean and needs to cover the stench, but either way, absolutely disgusting. If only he had enough humility to go into a stall at least, I would never had known and neither would you. Disgusting.

I went to Montreal for a business trip ordered chicken and beef platter through Uber eats and after 5 min the restaurant called me and advised me that they don’t have chicken or beef so i asked them to cancel the order. They never cancelled the order and Uber didn’t reimburse me for my order, i literally got scammed for $33 ny this place. It’s crazy that people are willing to bring bad name for their business for $33, i can only imagine their meet quality. I personally will naver order from that place and i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I love this place! I highly recommend the Chicken Shish Taouk! I love the garlic sauce. Not too fond of the tahini, though. The garlic potatoes are amazing! It's a bit expensive, but well worth it!

Despite its modest size, Diwan is big on taste, drawing in locals and visitors with its affordable prices and friendly service. For a quick, satisfying meal, Diwan is the go-to spot in Dorval. Their chicken has a flavor which I don’t find in any other places in Montreal!
