We arrived around 10:50 p.m., the waitress came to see us around 11:30 p.m. to see if everything was okay. We hadn't ordered yet. Come back around 00:05 to see if we want anything else, 4 out of 5 people had finished their drinks a while ago. People who arrived after us ordered before and received their things before

I just moved to the area.I don't know any bars.Pub St-Georges, 30 mins drive, goodOK!I decide to go see the “open mic” evening and see if it’s fun.I get there and it’s full of people, WOW!Plus they have Guinness, I'm really happy!I put my coat on the last bench at the end of the bar.error…I hear the tall blonde barmaid who is at the other end yell at me really loudly “YOU CAN’T BE SITTING THERE, that’s no place for you to sit, that’s my service area!!! »I'm standing...and in shockeveryone looks at me.I just put my coat there to free my hands to pay for my beer but suddenly I feel like going home.But hey, I tell myself that she is young, that she just manages her stress VERY poorly.Maybe if I'm smiling and nice to her, she'll eventually smile,Second mistake.I am “stuck” in his head because of my coat (which I took off as soon as I was informed of my blatant lack of civility towards him).She refuses to look at me and rushes past me 3-4 times to go serve other people who know the rules.Zero smile, she finds nothing funny tonight.I will have to wait until another member of staff is free.Unfortunately, she's also the one who pours the Guinness and she's in a hurry, so I end up with a 3-inch neck of mud. Well.. OK.She's in a fun situation, calm down and say nothing, be nice, leave a big tip to encourage her, she'll smile eventually.nope!She didn't have a single smile all evening, just a stupid look with both her colleagues and the customers.(At least for the two hours that I stayed in a corner far away near the free, very salty popcorn.) A full bar, yes it’s rushing but you’re making cash, so that’s cool? No?The waiter with the European accent was super busy and navigated the place with a big smile, a pro.He understood, smile = tip and people feel welcomed.All my Guinness arrived with full foam, poured brutally and clumsily.I'm going back?With my guitar?Not sure… I left very disappointed.I wonder if this is the normal welcome in this place.or if it's just me asking too much in 2024a minimum of humanityand maybe a: “hi, what would you like to drink? »

Very large selection of beers. There is always a good atmosphere at St-Georges. Free popcorn. Good service. The best whiskey pickle shooters I’ve ever had!!!
