We tried various dishes: trout tartare (probably the best tartare I ever had), crisp and tasty veal sweetbreads, escargots, an original poutine, a lobster Mac N' Cheese (oh boy...) and the most tender T-Bone steak. Everything was on point, including the service, and the wine selection was highly varied. Restaurant l'Impérial is definitely a place to stop!

2022-11: Unfortunately, COVID-19 has been difficult for this restaurant. They only serve brunches on Sundays. Food is good, but not wow like before.$30 all-you-can-eat buffet, $20 all-you-can-eat mimosa.2019-03: Quality at the rendezvous. Both in terms of food and the execution of the dishes. Pleasantly surprised. Must try at least once.The menu seems to vary with the seasons.It's relatively expensive, but the portions are very generous. In addition, there are promotions depending on the day of the week (ex: bottles of wine at 50% off on Tuesdays).

We went for a romantic dinner last Friday and everything was absolutely delicious. As a starter, we had the pork belly for me and the stuffed tulips for him, it was decadent! For the main meal, I chose the flank steak and he the lamb shoulder, but due to a small mistake, he received the ribs. Even with a small mistake everything was incredibly good! No disappointment. We will definitely come back.

Totally stupid experience! The service was really good. Having worked in catering myself, I can say that the service is super professional. They care about their customers and ensure that their time spent at the table is the best possible. Speaking of the food, it was succulent and super well presented. It’s clear that the chef is really passionate about what he does. I would definitely go back - probably to try the lamb chops this time hahaah! :)

I am extremely disappointed with my dinner, overcooked meat, no refinement, price too expensive for this meal. We would have preferred to cook at home...in terms of human relations, the waitress was very good, the owner was at times condescending.
I heard about L’imperial and I said to myself: “Well, too expensive for what it is…” However, yesterday’s dinner was very pleasant on several points; the nice atmosphere, the impeccable service and the food lived up to expectations. Thank you again for the excellent service yesterday, it was flawless!

I loved going to this restaurant until my most recent visit yesterday... really disappointing: the high prices to which we were accustomed have remained the same but the usual quality has disappeared. Disappointing service and $22 for a small slice of bread accompanied by a dubious mousse of supposed foie gras is a bit exaggerated. Very few choices on the menu. I tried to satisfy my end of the evening with a good natural wine (still at $22 a glass ?) and which was served to me ice cold!!! In short: never could ?

Change of ownership in 2020, then Covid. Result is very disappointing, from start to finish. The only thing that has not changed is the elegant decor but give them time and they will ruin that too. Food and service are no longer up to par and neither is the service. Regardless of the price you charge, if your food is not good and your service is bad, nobody will be coming back.

The burger was amazing. The fries were to die for. The service was impeccable. On the other hand they clearly don't know how to cook lobster though. Expensive but worth the experience(don't get the lobster pasta).
