Warm places, atmosphere that lends itself to discovery accompanied by an owner/cook/passionate/Epicurean who suggests a cuisine that goes far beyond traditional dishes, all in a completely “homemade” menu highlighting a maximum of products with local flavor prepared directly on site. What a tasty gourmet pleasure to taste for the first time... several times!

I had the shish taouk and forgot the ones in Montreal that I missed so much. A must-see in Grande-Rivière.

La cuisine est excellente !!! Nous avons commander une assiette de côtes levées servis avec poutine ainsi qu'une assiette de brisquet servie avec salade de fêta et betterave ! 10/10 pour la cuisine , l’ambiance et le services or paire ! Tout le monde est très sympathique ! Je suis en visite et j'y retourne l'année prochaine sans hésitez !!!

Driving down 132 towards Carleton-sur-Mer in August 2024, hungry and despairing in seeing only fast food outlets, we decided finally to try Chez Lewis. What a wonderful surprise. Delicious (home-made) smoked salmon with multi-grained bread (not sliced white) and tasty condiments; sandwiches and home-made waffles (gaufres) with fruit. "Gourmands" in the name is appropriate! Moreover, the owner was extremely friendly and warm, and also generous - shared his secrets to exceptional waffles. If Chez Louis were located in Montreal, it would be my first choice for lunches.
