I usually enjoy coming to this place, but I was extremely disappointed on my recent visit. Google showed the restaurant as open, so I made the trip from out of town—only to find it completely closed upon arrival. This was a frustrating waste of time, money, and energy. As a regular customer, I expected better communication and reliability. Please update your hours accurately to avoid misleading people in the future.

My fiancé and I came to try this restaurant as a potential venue for our wedding reception, and the food did not disappoint. Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious — the chef clearly takes great pride in his craft. I also had an espresso martini that was perfect.
That said, the service unfortunately fell short. Our server seemed disoriented and inattentive, despite the patio being small and not busy (only five tables, and she was responsible for two). She brought our food around to three other tables before finding us, and throughout the meal we were never checked in on. My empty drink sat on the table from before the food arrived until after we paid. No one asked how the meal was, and the table and chairs were dirty when we sat down.
I completely understand that everyone can have an off day, and I try to be forgiving when it comes to service — but in this case, it did unfortunately affect the overall experience. That said, another server nearby seemed much more attentive and professional, so perhaps it was just a staffing mismatch.
Overall, the food and drinks were truly outstanding, and I would still recommend this spot for its culinary excellence — I just hope the service experience can be more consistent in the future. Also the food/drink options were outstanding.

Husband and I went for our date night and we had such an amazingly gastronomical experience! Every plate is a perfectly matched fusion of flavours. The serving sizes are very generous and the price/quality/value was really respectable. We will go back to try all the platters! Its a MUST for your next dinner night out- they have so many options that no matter your cravings - they have something that will not only satisfy but will surpass your expectations!

Food was delicious and the chef takes great care with the presentation. The waiter was very blasé and he couldn’t answer basic questions about the dishes. Also, he was a bull in a china shop, slamming dishes onto the table, throwing cutlery into a bin — it was very bizarre dining experience a la Fawlty Towers. My suggestion to the owners: find someone who’s personable with high standards in customer service. Would love to see this resto succeed!

My wife and I had a lovely dinner at Portabella. We especially enjoyed the small tapas style portions which allowed us to share 6 different menu items without needing to roll ourselves to the car.
While pricey, it was worth every dime. For those on the fence because they need to stretch their buck in this economy, don't skip it all together, instead I'd recommend saving it for a special birthday or anniversary so that you can enjoy the wonderful dishes the chef has put together.
Coming into the restaurant I truly didn't know what to expect, but everything was absolutely amazing, the service, the energy, and food were incredible I can't wait to come back.

Had one of my best culinary experiences in years! Had no idea what to choose, since everything on the menu looked so good. Ended up asking the chef to surprise me with their favourite dishes, and let me tell you… Everything single dish was more pleasantly satisfying than the previous one. Not only were the presentations outstanding, but the flavours were just out of this world. An experience I would recommend to everyone travelling through Hudson looking to try an unforgettable restaurant. The quality, the atmosphere and the prices, can’t be matched. Looking forward to trying more of their amazing dishes on my next visit!

Had an amazing experience at Portabella! The food and concept were incredible, and our group of 7 was thoroughly impressed. Everything was so delicious we barely had time to snap pictures, and we still had plenty of leftovers. The desserts were also a highlight. A special thanks to Chef Ricardo for personally coming to our table to thank us, and to Devin for the great service. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
