An inspired menu.
I haven’t been so happy to pay a bill at the end of a meal in a long time.
A few notes worth mentioning:
Every dish and its accompaniment is distinct.
Excellent cadence and order of service.
Friendly staff.
Delicious, and intellectually refreshing.
Excellent value.
BYOB!!

We were kind of disappointed with the overall experience at the Main Kitchen. We had heard so much about the great food and service. Our order got mix up. So our tapas were served at different times. They served an entree without telling us what it was .,. It looked like a complementary bread with the usual oil and balsamic, to find out later on that it was the bone marrow butter. When we received our bill the terminal offered an 18% tip to start. That did not sit well with us. We thought it was distasteful to expect an 18%=as a minimum.The fact is we have family that also works in that business so we are very aware the effort it takes to offer a great experience and we almost always add a 20% gratuity. Unfortunately it was not a good experience.

What a beautiful restaurant, the hype got me through the door, I enjoyed my meal so much, thanks to Claire. Probably the best waitress in the world has ever known. So well-versed on her menu. I did not even have to look at my menu. She just suggested a bunch of mains and taps for everyone. Claire truly is the reason why I will go back many times. She was an absolute gem! If management is reading this, you should definitely give her two extra paid week vacation. :)

Loved our first experience at Main Kitchen. My husband was celebrating his birthday so we wanted to go somewhere different. The food was outstanding! Kim our server was helpful and courteous, she sings a wonderful happy birthday. Kudos to all we will be back!

We were a group of 8 people and some of us didn’t get there on time. So the server asked us to place an order, while not everybody was present, because we only had 2 hours reserved for our table. When we reserved our table, we were already made aware that we had only 2 hours so it was not necessary to remind us again about that. It caused unnecessary pressure for our group to eat quickly. We were asked to pay while having our deserts. Overall, we didn’t get to enjoy the meals properly.

The food is very good, a bit on the pricey end. I got the Moroccan Stew, and I absolutely loved it. But, the food is not worth price.

Tried the new menu at Main Kitchen and absolutely loved it! Kim our server was amazing and the food was delicious - the corn bread that came with the blackened cod was the highlight for me! Highly recommend this Hudson gem

The Main Kitchen in Hudson is hands down one of our favorites. The food is always fresh and delicious, and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Sitting at the bar is the best—the vibe is great, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. I am Gluten free and they’re palways accommodating. BYOW is a huge plus! Highly recommend!

Excellent food and service. Sarah and Jay worked wonders preparing our scrumptious food with gusto. Bryanna, our server, went to extremes offering not only our dishes but describing their mouth watering attributes. Super friendly and accommodating establishment, will definitely return for another memorable evening. It's somewhat pricey compared to your day to day restaurant; however, fairly represents the superlative quality of plates and 5 star Michelin star chef and team that graces the kitchen. My wife and I have been loyal patrons of The Main Kitchen in Hudson for many years, even hosting her 50th birthday celebration there nine years ago. We've always appreciated the great experiences and warm atmosphere the restaurant offered.

Unfortunately, during our visit last night and the last, we found the ambiance had changed significantly. The noise level was so high that it was nearly impossible to carry on a conversation with our friends, and the dining area was uncomfortably cold, even with the blankets provided.

While we understand that restaurants evolve, these changes have taken away from what made The Main Kitchen so special to us. We hope management takes this feedback into account to bring back the comfort and charm we used to love about this place.

AFFELDT NORTH AMERICA

I am a regular customer that spend annually between $750 - $1,000 / year at this restaurant.

Tonight, I left a tip of $15.00 on a $130.00 bill before tax. I wanted to leave a $18.00 tip but made a mistake on the terminal and could not make a correction.

The waitress came to me as I was leaving asking if I was unhappy with the service. I guess she expected a minimum tip of $23,00 on the total bill with government tax. I pay normally 15% tip before tax which is what is fair.

I found this insulting to ask for more money.

Restaurant just lost a loyal faithful returning customer on this insultting gesture.
